“Hey,” Hyuk called from the kitchen, “I’m making lunch, what do you want?”

“Don’t know,” Ravi called back, not looking from the book that he wasn’t actually reading, “What do you want?”

“I’ll just make some sandwiches,” Hyuk said after a moment, “are you gonna be ok with that.”

“Yes.”

Ravi couldn’t keep his mind off of what Hyuk planned to do that night; go talk to Kris. His mind kept going over all the horrible things that could happen. Like this Kris guy could shot Hyuk point blank in the face because Hyuk rejected his offer. Or Kris could completely ignore Hyuk’s rejection and force him into whatever illegal plans he had. Things could go so very wrong and he could lose Hyuk.

“Hey,” Hyuk said, poking his head into the living room, “are you alright? You seem distracted.”

“Yeah,” Ravi looked up, faking a smile, “just really into this book is all.”

“Alright,” Hyuk nodded, accepting Ravi’s answer because he knew exactly what was wrong but had no idea how to make his boyfriend feel better, “lunch is ready. Do you want to eat in the living room?”

“Sure,” Ravi nodded, putting down his book and welcoming Hyuk to sit beside him so he could cuddle up against him.
