“Wait,” Ravi frowned, “so......this guy who you met in prison is out now and he’s looking for you? To be honest, I don’t know what’s so bad about that. It’s not that hard to avoid him, is it?”

“If he was a normal guy,” Hyuk sighed, “it would probably be easy.”

“But he’s not normal, is he?” Ravi’s frown grew, “just......who the heck is this guy? And what in the world could he want with you?”

“He calls himself Kris,” Hyuk explained, “and I don’t think anyone knew exactly what he’s into. It’s easier to just assume that he’s into everything. Drugs, weapons, ion. Everything. The rumour was that he was in the mob, now it’s a fact that he’s a high ranking member. At least, that’s what I heard from the guys in Ken’s old building.”

“How do they fit into all of this?” Ravi asked, shifting closer to Hyuk.

“Well, they’re not exactly on the right side of the law either,” Hyuk sighed, “not as bad as Kris, but bad enough that they hear things. They also aren’t as bad as Kris when it comes to respecting people’s right to stay on the right side of the law.”

“Kris wants you to do something for him?” Ravi growled, already filled with hate for whoever this Kris guy was, “something illegal?”

“Seems so,” Hyuk nodded, “he took a bit of a liking to me, said I was perfect for his plans. I never asked what those plans were, but i got the feeling that they were bad.”

“What are you going to do?” Ravi asked, wrapping his arms tightly around his lover.

“I’m going to talk to him,” Hyuk said, “tell him that I can’t do anything.”

“What if he still goes after you?” Ravi wondered.

“Don’t worry,” Hyuk said, trying to smile, “it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything illegal, so he’ll probably forget about me. No matter what he wants, I’m useless if I haven’t been doing anything illegal.”

Ravi nodded and cuddled closer to Hyuk. As much as he wanted to believe Hyuk, he was worried. Would Kris really let Hyuk go? What if he forced Hyuk to go along with his plans? Why did things have to be so hard for them? Why did Hyuk have to have such a horrible past?
