“What’s this?” Taekwoon asked, showing Hakyeon the photo that he’d found.

“Oh,” Hakyeon averted his eyes, “that’s……that’s Sanghyuk’s old master. Moon Kyungri, a pharaoh.”

“Why do you have this?” Taekwoon questioned, “Does Sanghyuk know?”

“After we became friends, I started looking into his pharaoh,” Hakyeon admitted, “she betrayed her two most loyal followers and I guess I just wanted to see the person who would do that to Sanghyuk. Then I started keeping tabs on her to make sure she stayed away from him. He….he doesn’t know and I hope you can help me make sure he never finds out.”

“Why would he care?” Taekwoon asked, “He hates her right?”

“Anubis and sphinx,” Hakyeon sighed, “once they pledge their loyalty to a pharaoh…….that’s it. Until their pharaoh dies, they’ll always be loyal to them.”

“What?” Taekwoon couldn’t believe it, “even after she left them? Even after she stole Sanghyuk’s mummies from him?”

“Yeah,” Hakyeon nodded sadly, “which is why I keep tabs on her. Right now, she’s in New York and doesn’t seem to have any plans to leave. Once, she came here. I made sure Sanghyuk was out of the country and with Wonsik’s help I made sure she never wanted to stay here. That woman….she’s….not a nice person.”

“I hope she never comes near him,” Taekwoon growled, glaring darkly at the photo in his hands.

“Don’t worry, she won’t get near,” Hakyeon assured him, “now, let’s keep looking for someone who might know how to contact the old gods so we can help Sanghyuk.”

“Right,” Taekwoon nodded.

A/N: well, Sanghyuk’s master sounds like a real lovely person, huh? *eye roll*at least Hakyeon is looking out for Hyukkie to make sure the evil cow stayed away from him.
