“Time to get up,” Sanghyuk said, shaking his roommate awake.
Ravi cracked open an eye, glancing up at Sanghyuk’s bright smile before closing his eyes again. On the one hand, he liked walking up to Sanghyuk’s smile. On the other, it just reminded him that soon his king would make his move and Sanghyuk would become Leo’s queen.
“Get up,” Sanghyuk said again, pulling the blankets off the other and walking away so he could get ready himself, “we’re going to be late for class. You know we have exams today, right?”
“Right,” Ravi sighed, slowly getting up.
He didn’t want to get up, to spend his day following Sanghyuk around. He didn’t even know why he followed the other. They weren’t exactly friends and he didn’t have to be right there to keep watch over Sanghyuk, yet he still stayed as close as he could to the human. It was torture for him, but he figured that just made him a masochist. Or maybe he just wanted to spend what little time was left by Sanghyuk’s side before he lost him forever.
“Wonsik,” Sanghyuk sighed, coming back from the bathroom to find the other still not dressed, “do I have to dress you, too?” Ravi winced both at the use of the fake name and what Sanghyuk had said.
“Sorry,” Ravi bowed his head before getting up and grabbing his cloths for the day.
“You’re always like this,” Sanghyuk sighed, “so depressed. It brings everyone else down with you. You’ll never find someone like this.”
“What are you talking about?” Ravi asked, looking up slightly curious.
“No one wants to date someone who’s depressed all the time,” Sanghyuk shrugged, “so smile a bit. I’m sure you look good when you smile.”
“It won’t matter,” Ravi sighed, “the one I love is going to end up with someone else.”
“Going to?” Sanghyuk raised an eyebrow, “you mean they aren’t with someone already?”
“They aren’t with another,” Ravi replied, “but they will be.”
“Do they love someone else?” Sanghyuk wondered if he should just drop the subject and leave his roommate alone, but he’d always been too curious for his own good.
“Not yet,” Ravi gave another sad sigh, “but there is another guy trying to win his love.”
“Then you can’t give up,” Sanghyuk encouraged, “if the guy you love doesn’t love this other guy, you still have a chance. You have to fight for him! Don’t just sit there and do nothing.”
“What would you do?” Ravi found himself asking, “if you were in my shoes? Or in the shoes of the one I love?”
“I’d fight for the one I love if I was you,” Sanghyuk smiled, “and if I was the guy you like, I’d want you to at least try to win my love. I mean, he might like you, too. You don’t know, so you can’t give up. Who knows, it might work out for you and the guy you like will fall for you instead of the other guy.”
Ravi nodded, deeply considering Sanghyuk’s words. Maybe he should fight for Sanghyuk’s love. If he didn’t, would he be able to live with himself. And what was the worst Leo could do to him? Make him stay in the human world? Strip him of his power and make him human? None of those sounded like bad things. Not when it meant he had Sanghyuk by his side.
“Thank you,” Ravi smiled, his grin growing bigger when he noticed the faint blush on Sanghyuk’s cheeks.
“I was right,” Sanghyuk decided after gaining control of his blush, “you are attractive when you smile.”
Ravi just smiled more.
A/N: So Ravi is going to fight for Hyukkie. Wonder who’s gonna win Sanghyukkie’s heart in the end; the monster king Leo or the simple boogieman Ravi. Now, onto important news (not that everything else is unimportant, but whatever). *clears throat* I’m taking two weeks off for Christmas. I have a lot of family get-togethers going on and I want to focus my attention on that. I’ll be back on the 5th with more themes, promise, but for now: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, guys. I’ll see you all again in 2015! <3
