Leo curled up in bed, trying not to cry. Sanghyuk was curled up beside him, arms wrapped tightly around him. They had returned home only a few minutes before and Leo made immediately made a run for the bedroom. From there, he’d curled up buried under the blankets and bit back his tears. Sanghyuk had followed, wrapping the cat boy up in his arms and whispering in his ear that everything would be alright.

“Shut up!” Leo finally snapped, sick of hearing Sanghyuk tell him that everything would be fine when Leo knew that things would never be fine so long as that man was around, “stop saying that everything will be fine.”

“No,” Sanghyuk replied, “Because it’s true.”

“No it’s not!” Leo yelled, “so long as that man is here things will never be ok again!”

“I will never let him touch you,” Sanghyuk assured his boyfriend, “I don’t know what he did to you, but I’m not going to let him do it ever again.”

“You can’t promise that,” Leo said, finally giving into his urge to cry, “I know him. He’ll try to get me back. He isn’t the type to just give up and go away.”

“I get that,” Sanghyuk nodded, “but I’m not going to let him have you. I don’t care what he does, you belong here with me.”

Leo cried harder at that and Sanghyuk pulling him closer, trying to comfort him through the hug. The human meant what he said; he was never going to let that man get near Leo ever again. If the man tried…..well, he was doomed that much was or sure. He’d upset Sanghyuk’s sweet, kind-hearted boyfriend and he wouldn’t allow that to go unpunished.

A/N: I kind of worked off the feeling I got when I saw the theme ‘doom.’ I thought ‘that doomed feeling, that feeling of hopelessness’ and worked off of that. ……..yeah, I’m just trying to justify myself and I don’t think it’s working too well.
