“As a primary step, I’ve communicated with all of Jinki’s friends and sadly, they know nothing about him. He simply disappeared without leaving a single trace.” Jonghyun informed both the father and son who were listening attentively to every word uttered by him.

“How can that be true? Hyung was good with friends. Not a single one could give you valuable information?” Minho said frowning.

“Let’s think about valuable information later. They couldn’t even give unnecessary information to make me irritated.” Jonghyun replied.

“Then you haven’t been working well enough. There can’t be just nothing about this. He was good with his friends. I don’t believe you.” Minho said again with a hint of restlessness and irritation in his tone.

“Well sir, I think, I gave my best here and you also shouldn’t forget the fact that it was a primary step. If you think I haven’t done my best then-” Jonghyun rummaged through his bag and brought out a file. –“here is the file. I’ve written down all the words those people has uttered as answers to my questions.”

“Jonghyun son, you know I trust you. Don’t mind Minho. He’s just a bit frustrated over Jinki’s disappearance. You just keep doing your duty. You need to find Jinki no matter what.” Mr. Choi said gently pushing the file back towards Jonghyun.

“Still, it’s a part of job, sir. The first thing that I need to be total successful in this work is to be able to make you trust me no matter what. Sir Minho seems to have a problem with that.” Jonghyun replied grinning.

“If you don’t mind, detective. I want to keep the file.” Minho spoke up.

“Sorry?” Minho asked not getting the mumbles. Mr. Choi chuckled having heard what the detective had mumbled.

Minho looked at both of them frowning, his face showing confusion.

“Oh! It’s nothing, sir. Just some random words.” Jonghyun replied bowing his head a bit. While bowing, he didn’t miss the chance to wink at Mr. Choi who winked back immediately.

Being the son of Mr. Choi’s best friend, Jonghyun had built quite a nice relationship with him. He worked for him a few times before. It was a regret that Minho and Jonghyun didn’t get the opportunity to befriend each other. They met a few times before when Jonghyun worked for Mr. Choi but there were nothing but simple greetings.

“Please don’t call me ‘sir’. It makes me feel old. Either way, you’re older than me. Just ‘Minho’ is alright.” Minho stated scrunching his nose slightly.

‘Though he’s quite handsome and charming, with all this manly sides he still manages to appear quite cute!’-Jonghyun couldn’t help but think.

“But you should be used to it already.” Jonghyun replied pointing at Minho’s place in business.

“That’s in business.”

“It’s also kind of business.”

"Still different and since you are dad’s best friend’s son, why don’t we make use of these times and get to know each other?” Minho offered smiling gently.

Mr. Choi coughed gaining the other's attention. -"That sounds flirtous, sons. You both are married and I quite like my son-in-law.”

Minho and Jonghyun both became red at Mr. Choi’s careless comment. Notheless they couldn’t help but laugh at the comment.

“Ok, boys. Back to the point. So, besides communicating with Jinki’s friends - ” Mr. Choi hinted.

“Besides that, I haven’t found any sign of him leaving this country. In fact, there’s news that’ll make you happy.” Jonghyun informed smilling mischeviously.

Both Minho and his father leaned ahead in excitement.

“Lee Jinki hasn’t left this city. I’ve talked with all type of transportation system and there were no record of him leaving the city. You said he didn’t take the car with him. If that is the case then, he’s somewhere around us.” Jonghyun declared.

“That’s surprising!” Minho mumbled to himself.

Mr. Choi eyed Jonghyun for a moment.

“Can you explain why you’re smiling to yourself like that? I know that smile of yours, boy. Speak up whatever else is left behind.” He said. When Minho looked at Jonghyun, the detective was really smiling in a weird way.

“Nothing really. It’s just I was thinking if my assumption is right then I’ll be able to find him soon.” jonghyun replied looking out the window, a small part of the garden outside could be seen. The leafs and flowers were dancing so beautifully with the blowing wind.

“What is your assumption?” Minho asked excitedly. –“Tell me. I want to find hyung out as soon as I can. I want to know what exactly he meant by that message.”

“I’m sorry, Minho. You might not like my answer but I’m sorry. I can’t tell you. My job is to find Jinki. I’ll find him out no matter what but I won’t tell you something that I only assume but don’t believe. Before telling you about it, I have to find out first if my assumption is correct or not.” Jonghyun replied calmly.

However as calmly as Jonghyun replied, Minho couldn’t accept the answer. –“Look, I won’t accuse you for giving me wrong direction, I promise. I just want a small information to look for hyung myself. Tell me, Jonghyun. Where do you think hyung is now?”

Jonghyun didn’t reply. He stood up totally ignoring Minho. –‘If you don’t mind. That was all the information I had for now so I would like to leave now. There’s a lot left yet to do.” He politely informed putting his bag on his shoulder.

Minho was about to say something again but was cut off by his father. –“It has no use pestering him to speak up. He won’t speak up unless he wants, Minho. So, calm down and it’s not like you have enough time to look for Jinki yourself. We have a lot to take care in the business this week. Let Jonghyun do his work."

Minho didn’t like the idea but didn’t talk against his father knowing that was true.

“I’m sorry, Minho.” Jonghyun said again.

“It’s okay. That’s your work.” Minho replied as politely as he could.

“By the way where is your husband?” Jonghyun asked all of a sudden looking here and there.

“He’s probably in the garden. Why?” Minho asked frowning.

“Ahh...no particular reason. Curiosity.” Jonghyun replied.

After the father- son had bid Jonghyun good bye, Minho flopped down on the couch sighing tiredly.

“Don’t be too stressed over it Minho.” Mr. Choi said looking at his depressed son.

“Dad, If hyung doesn’t want to come out, how is Jonghyun gonna find him out? I wonder what it is that made hyung so angry that he doesn’t even want to see our faces.” He said.

“The same I wonder, son.”

While walking towards the out door, Jonghyun carefully eyed the garden. He had his business over with Minho and Mr. Choi but he still had something to make sure.

He stopped at his track when his eyes found him in the garden like Minho informed.

‘Lee Taemin, wasn’t it?’- He thought to himself before sl

owly changing the direction of his track and walking towards the golden blond haired boy who seemed like to be lost in his own world while softly brushing the Jasmine flowers with his palm.

Jonghyun’s sharp eyes followed the younger’s each movement.

Such angelic face framed with silky golden blond locks of hair and with such depth a pair of sparkling eyes staring at God-knows-where. He could tell right away that those eyes can easily captivate anyone....even the toughest heart may be.

When his eyes roamed over Taemin’s body, Taemin being a dancer did make its own explanation. He had quite a body that anyone would want to make. Over all, an absolute gorgeous appearance that Lee Taemin emitted.

Jonghyun wondered for a moment if Taemin was prettier than his husband.

Well.....

He hurriedly shook off the thought away. If his husband somehow got to know about his sudden thought, his head would surely be chopped off. However, his husband was the best to him on his own way anyway.

“Hi!” Jonghyun exclaimed when he was closer.

Taemin jumped in surprise looking at the older.

“OH! I’m sorry. I didn’t tend to surprise you like that.” Jonghyun smiled apologetically.

Taemin smiled back bowing, uneasiness evident in his eyes.

“Sorry, for intruding in your lone time. Do you mind me joining you for a few minutes?” Jonghyun asked politely.

“It’s alright. Sure, you can.”

“What were you doing by the way?” Jonghyun asked curiously.

“Nothing really. It’s just the view is nice. It’s relaxing simply to just stare at.” Jonghyun looked at the front. It was a nice view. Colorful petals of different flowers mixed with green leafs embracing the duplex house nicely. Indeed beautiful.

‘But you weren’t staring at that though.’- Jonghyun snorted mentally.

“You’re right.” He agreed.

Taemin stared at Jonghyun for a moment before sighing. –“You aren’t here just to ask what I was doing, are you?” He asked.

Jonghyun grinned at him scraching the back of his head. –“You caught me.”

“So, what is it?” Taemin asked quietly.

At this point Jonghyun became serious and the sharp and mischevious look of his face was back.
