The Great Civilization of Shinshi was created by blood, war and pain. During the first century the Great Civilization emerged as a war field rather than a great city. Demons fought against Angels for territory, dominance and pride. Hundreds of beings from both species died, their corpses spread over the silk fields, the clear rivers and the snowy mountains of Shinshi. The nation’s pureness became stained by the color of hatred: red, black and white intermixed in horrifying shadows and tones.

Until Dumoh, the last of the demon’s commanders, created the Pact of Alliance between white and black winged beings. He attained what others had failed during centuries, not with the power of his sword and wings, but with the power of conviction. The Pact was signed with blood by the Third of Demons: Meririm, Rehab and Sariel and the Third of Angels: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. They settled peace between both species and agreed the sharing of the territories and its profits for an eternal duration.

It had passed already ten millenniums. Shinshi was now a great nation with borders that extended all across the world of Ishtar, the big planet. One civilization composed by demons and angels living of the same resources and breathing the same air. However, the duality remained there despite their cohabitation. Angels and Demons despised each other, some for the history, some for their education, others for mere alienation.

They shared spaces but never exchanged more than the required words. Kwon Jiyong and Lee Seunghyun, the first a demon, the second an angel, grew inside that tense atmosphere of Shinshi. Both developing fears and alienated convictions and wariness towards the other. They despised what was not theirs and feared the other color. White and black was preserved as the duality between species, their personal pride and fear.

Until the day the dark eyes of the demon became fascinated by the whiteness of the angel’s wings; and the distance between colors suddenly became broken.
