Defeated by an evil alter ego that slowly possessed her that the witches made up to achieve their goals, Davina Claire became Daphne Claire and made something Davina would have never done: as a powerful witch, a group of witches pressured her to make a spell on three people and make a new kind of vampires - the Newcomers. With help from the witches Daphne got a sample of each breed, including herself on the spell - human, vampire, witch, hybrid, traveller and werewolf - creating the Blood Bound, which she fed to the three Original Newcomers as she was done with the spell, finishing it with a slauntering.

They were as strong, as fast, feeding in blood, but whose eye color would change. If feeding on blood from the vein and draining, it was possible to have red eyes, but it would fade to a rosier tone as their blood need would decrease, emotions would change their eyes' color as well.

Also, Newcomers weren't just rainbow-eyed vampires. They were thirstier but they were predators of their own species, and of any species in general. Immune to werewolf bites and vervain, each one of them had a skill like some of the French Quarter witches like Daphne, but not all of them pursued compulsion, at least until a certain point. They would learn it after a considerate number of kills, and after they reached that checkpoint, they would also be able to turn others into Newcomer vampires. But that was their problem though, the addiction to death. And, their biggest weakness. Even if it seemed to never have end, a magical ink tattoo would bloom on their backs like a bird spreads its wings. Each time it grew meant less one life they had to take. They were hunters, thanks to using a human with bounds to a hunter on the spell cast, a tattoo that'd be complete after they were allowed to stop killing, just like a hunter mark would be. But, it was an addiction, and they were used to killing, the tattoo wouldn't compell them.

Characters

Davina Claire ^_[2] has grew and matured tormented ever since her dear Timothy Holden, Tim, ^_[1] was killed by an Original vampire, in fact, the so famous half Wolf, half Vampire. Not knowing where Tim went nor his corpse, Davina, one of the most powerful witches alive, kept on doing spells by using his violin just to meet his gaze. And she found him once, but it was not because she called him. He appeared as a mirage. This because, after all Timothy wasn't dead, even Davina thinking he died right in front to her eyes, poisoned. In fact, the Originals planned to keep Tim by their side and gave him the antidote, but, too late it was, they just turned into another of their kind, after all he'd probably be useful to make Davina fall back on the palm of their hand. And there's where our story starts. Tim was brought to Davina by the witches that wished for the Vampires to fall apart at once, under a michiveous plan made to get all they ever wished: create a new kind of Vampire, that hunts down Vampires and anything that walks, literally. After that, Davina became more like a powerful imponent witch, and named herself as Daphne.

In between the disgrace of the Vampires taking over the city where the new breed spell was cast - New Orleans it was - there was still time for the French Canadian-Korean descendent and one of the Original Newcomers, Michèle-Sophie Moreau, ^_[2] also known as Moon Mihee, to bring on some bohemian life and three Newcomer recruits to beat up Vampires. Her older sister Marie-Claire dying due to a vampire slaunter, Michèle-Sophie lived in the French Quarter, where she met Davina and  came to know about vampires. From that moment on she promised revenge and blood. Thanks to those blinded pair of eyes by the thirst of revenge, she brought alongside her friends, the Vietnamese-American Skye-Janiya Tuan, ^_[1] the African-American Ayana Williams ^_[3] and the Korean emmigrant Song Nahye ^_[4]. Thanks to her, the spell was also cast to turn one of the other Original Newcomers under someone else's request. As a Newcomer Vampire, her personal skill as a vampire is Retrocognition, which consists of seeing someone's past, without needing any source of information other than a touch or a quick glance.

Lee Suhoon ^_[1] is Korean yet son of emmigrants and fluent in English, and a temporary History teacher at International High School of New Orleans that just started his career as teacher, being particulary interested in Supernatural things such as Vampirism, Lychantrophy and Paranormal Activicty. After hearing out several conversations in between some of the students, he decided to go make some search and found Supernatural traces around his area, according to all the legends surrounding New Orleans. He'll become one of the Original Newcomers, even if his main objective is to just get into the Supernatural environment of New Orleans. His special hability is Danger Intuition, not only including the dangers around him but also the danger that might occur near his reach. For that motive, he rescued a few people. Park Hyunchul, know by others not by his name but by Park Hyunmi, ^_[2] disguises as a girl to protect himself from the emerging dangers that might approach him eventually. He was forced to do so by circumstances, sheltering on a girls' only school. ^{_{[ know more on further chapters ]}}

Son of a Korean businessman and member of the Korean Embassy in Washington DC, Kim Hanbyeol ^_[1] always felt alone. After his father's promotion from the local representant of Western Asia's countries in New Orleans to become the Ambassador, he stopped coming home so often - it's not like you can travel from East coast to the centre of USA's borderline with Mexico everyday to go home - but even understanding that, Hanbyeol felt like others put him aside. The same occured while thinking of his mother, part of the Tulane University, who'd lock herself up on her office not to be disturbed with her paperwork. Other thing was the expectations. He was supposed to become just like his father, but neither him or Taemin, his brother, found joy in any of those things. In fact, he was uncertain of his future. He's the third element of the spell for the Newcomers' creation, being his skill as an Original Newcomer, Pyrotechnic Projection - generation of fireworks, which seems not to be a strong power, but he can actually explode beings with it. As for Jo Hwankyu, a rebel boy ^_[2] with drug problems, will meet Hanbyeol. [ know more on further chapters ]

Hanbyeol's brother Kim Taemin ^_[1] and cousin Eun Sangwon ^_[2] are two boys who came to become the reason why the older of the three - the third Original Newcomer Vampire - ended up as part of the clan of Newcomer vampires. Sangwon is the one who presented the Kim brothers' story to Michèle-Sophie on a day she went to the bar he started working on and served drinks to her and her friends. Even so, he is not yet legal. He has a black belt in Taekwondo in case it's needed as well, being one of his passions besides the bohemian environment of the bar he works on, Apple Barrel Bar. Sangwon is an extremely independent seventeen-year-old indeed. Afterwards, that meeting-up with the Original Newcomer lady dictated their future. ^{_{[ character development on further chapters ]}} Taemin is Hanbyeol's little brother, the little baby protected by their parents and people in general. Being a good student and especially good in mechanics and item crafting and sculpting, Taemin has a bedroom of his own where he keeps a shelf full of items he crafted himself, some of them really useful like knives and utilitary items any person can use in case of self defense or survival measures.

Part of the Bayou's wildlife packs of wolves, - Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve it is - there are two outstanding werewolves, Savannah Harris, ^_[1] student at International High School of New Orleans yet skipping often due to the distance she has to go through from her house hidden in the Bayou - having to use a bycicle to her way school or either catch a bus in early morning - and the Vietnamese Vampire-Werewolf hybrid Kao Boonliang, ^_[2] having the same conditioning as Savannah, having to live hidden in the hoods so people won't find about his - their - secrets. They must be always aware of what people see in a town like New Orleans, ruled by Vampires and rivalyzed by witches. Those two werewolfs then become protected by Daphne as she casts the Newcomers spell, becoming the representatives from two of the six breeds on the ritual: human, vampire, traveller, witch, hybrid and werewolf. They are called as two of the six Blood Bounds, used on the sacrifice performed by Daphne to create the Newcomers.

Students of the International High School of New Orleans, Lorelei Beasley ^_[2] is the chosen human to be part of the spell cast. Daughter of a Hunter who never filled his tattoo - a hunter tattoo is a magical ink tattoo that spreads according to kills its owner performs and makes the person want to kill more until it's complete, it's objective is to obtain more power by draining a specific breed's blood or just killing any living being - and always hid the truth from her, not wanting her to know. Dragging along the Thai-American Mia Huýnh ^_[1] who is her bestfriend - both compelled by Timothy to be part of the ritual and convinced to do it by Zlata, aware of the danger and all that but not being able of telling it to anyone - the weakest member is chosen to be part of the ritual, which is, Lorelei, and she becomes the human Blood Bound and is taken as a project to the prototype of the first turned Newcomer. Meanwhile, Mia is rescued and kept away from danger by Suhoon, one of the Original Newcomers, seeing she can't be turned into a Newcomer due to a gene of hers reacting against it - Blood Phobia. [ know more on further chapters ]

Zlata Andreev ^_[1] is a Bulgarian emmigrant living in New Orleans with her little 9-year-old sister Dasha Andreev ^_[2] that is under her watch due to her parents being relocated in Bulgaria, since the two girls didn't have authorization of the government to fly back to their country - her older brother was on a prision for commiting and she was the only one who believe on his innocence, bringing Dasha with her to see their brother and refusing to be relocated back to her country. Meanwhile all that, Zlata descends from a family of travellers, original from the capital, Sofia, and is drawn by the witches to become the traveller they need to cast the Newcomers' spell, under the promise of bringing back her parents to her. That way, Zlata brings Dasha along, who is taken care by Mia as they cast the spell on her school, at International High School of New Orleans' auditorium during the night. Zlata is also the one who gets the keys from the school and convinces Mia and Lorelei to come along and pick one of them to become the human Blood Bound, being drawn by Daphne's promise to Zlata.

Once threatened by the Vampires, the Newcomers cross their path with Han Seungjin ^_[1] that is a quiet boy, a little too quiet and 'dead' at first sight whose mysteriousness doesn't let any of them unveil what's on his mind. Even with use to Michèle-Sophie's retrocognition skills, she didn't find anything that'd tell why the boy acted so reserved. Cold-heartedly, he is followed all over by a girl whose name is Hwang Chaeyeon, ^_[2] seeming quite stalkish at first, but whose mind just tells her to watch out for the cold-hearted male who seems to push her off at times. Worried about him constantly, the girl has no other choice but to follow him around whenever she finds it necessary. The girl in fact helped rescue the boy when a building fell on a earthquake and has kept taking care of him and worrying ever since, hiding him on the girl-only school she attends, letting him sleep there and wander around during daylight. Both stubborn, end up discussing things at times so Seungjin just goes on forward. But he eventually gets back to the only one who cares with a tiny smile on his lips. [ know more on further chapters ]
