Melting a Frozen Heart
Description
Kina Choi an Asian-American who moved to Korea at 10, befriends the neighbor's only son Lee Minhyuk. The two of them grew up together, and played games such as flashlight tag at midnight, and epic snowball fights in the winter.
Kina a young girl known for her tough personality, doesn't like the thought or the meaning of love after seeing it fail in front of her, and will do whatever it takes to avoid it at all costs--even going through a heavy state of denial. Minhyuk a quiet boy known for his dancing skills and a pretty face, is her best friend who will do anything in hopes of receiving her heart one day.
Both grew up in the small town together until Minhyuk leaves to pursue his dreams and joins Block B, while Kina stays nearby to prepare herself as a transfer student to become a doctor.
Three years later Minhyuk comes back for a short family visit, and Kina comes back home for winter break. The two of them have not kept in contact since the split, but as time passes by, old treasures of the past bring back memories and reveal deep secrets. Will either of them be able to handle some truth this season?
Foreword
"God it's freaking cold outside!" I complain to myself, as I trudge through the terribly strong and cold wind. Somehow I'm beginning to believe either mother nature lost her mind this season, or climate change is actually real. I'm going for the climate change.
It didn't really help that I was carrying a heavy bookbag full of books to review for my classes in the upcoming semester, which was weighing my already short body down. "Why does it have to be this freaking cold today?" I continue to complain, not even paying much attention to where I was walking until I bump into someone, "Ouch!" I said, rubbing my head.
Then I heard a deep voice say, "I'm sorry there! Are you alright?"
I look up and found myself standing in front of a pretty boy. He had a pretty face, almond-shaped brown eyes, and brown hair. Well this kid looks familiar. I thought before I realize who it was.
I guess he figured everything out before me because he cracks a small smile on his face and asks,
"Kina, is that you?"
