She was beautiful. Her fair skin always seemed to glow. Her long black hair softly swayed with every step she took.

A loose hair strand always tucked behind her ear. Her pretty pink lips always formed the most alluring smile.  

But her eyes, they were always full of sorrow. A hint of melancholy. Like a fallen angel.  

The only girl that I ever loved, slowly slipped away from the tips of my fingers. I couldn't hold on to her or even protect her.
