How to Win the Fanfiction Game

Description

Hey so I kind of randomly decided to do this tip thing, but everyone, PLEASE understand that there is no right and wrong for writing stories (really). And what I’ll be posting here will not be something you have to do or even something you should do. Most of it will be just based off of my personal opinion such as what kinds of things I think catch people’s attention and stuff. When I was starting out with AFF, I stumbled upon one of these tip things and it really helped me a lot.

And yeah, this’s gonna be pretty casual I’m assuming and probably a little disorganized so just a warning.

Also… if any of you guys want me to look over one of your stories or anything, I’d be 100% happy to read it and give you feedback! Don’t be scared, and it’s pretty nice to get another person’s opinion. Just message me or something.

Chapter 1: I couldn't agree more when it comes to titles...But, I've noticed that a lot of stories that do have ridiculous titles get more attention.

I'm personally not a big fan of them as I find them to be kind of idiotic (lol sorry not sorry).

It's become SO common for a story entitled, I'm Married To -------!?!?!? to get more attention than a story named...I don't know, Insufferable or something along those lines.

It's unfair, honestly, because you can obviously see the difference between someone who just slapped a title together or someone who spent a lot of time mulling over it.

I also have a huge pet peeve when it comes to author's giving their WHOLE plot away in the title...But I could rant about that for ever. X.X

Anyways, nice job. I like the advice. ^^
