Pain.

You've always wondered why it had to be so painful. Why did you have to suffer? What did you ever do to deserve this torture?

What the hell is wrong with the world?!

You winced, clutching your stomach as you made your way into the bathroom. You had no idea how you had managed to pull yourself up but you did; even if you were practically dragging your feet across the tiled floors. 

The door felt like it was made of metal as you pushed it forward to enter. Once inside, you groaned, leaning against the back of the door, taking deep breaths as if you were giving birth.

It definitely feels like it, you thought as you stepped towards the tub to turn on the shower. The rush of water echoed through the room, which was usually a soothing sound for you but in your current condition, it only made your head hurt. 

You removed your shirt and were about to remove your shorts as well when you felt your phone vibrating in your back pocket. Reaching for it, the screen lit up, signaling that you've just received a message.

You smiled slightly when you saw who it was but it immediately turned into a wince as the pain shot up once again, making you curl your arms around your torso.

Your head spun from the pain, feeling sweat beading down your forehead. Gasping, you fell to your knees on the cold hard floor, the impact heightening the pain you felt and before you knew it, darkness swallowed you whole.

Kris walked into the apartment a few moments later, carrying a brown paper bag. Placing his car keys on the table, he called out, "Babe! I'm back!" 

He went towards the kitchen to prepare hot water for the tea, whistling a tune as he did. Passing through the hallway, he heard the sound of the shower as he passed by the bathroom door. He knocked once and said, "Y/N? Come out once you're done, okay? I'll prepare your tea."

There was no answer and Kris sighed, thinking that the water must be drowning out everything he said. Deciding to come back again, he went to the kitchen to prepare the hot water. 

As he opened the faucet to fill up the small kettle, his gaze kept returning to the bathroom door. He heard the faint sounds of the water hitting the bathroom floor and wondered why you weren't turning it off; considering that he knew how efficient you were when it came to saving water. Setting the kettle on the stove and putting it on medium heat, he grabbed his phone and checked for his schedule for the next day. 

The kettle suddenly sounded, making him jump and press call on the screen. He placed the phone on the table as he rushed to the stove to turn it off. When the whistle died down, he heard a familiar ringtone. He scrunched is eyebrows in confusion, his gaze switching to the bathroom door.

He grabbed his phone from the table before approaching he door, the sound getting evidently louder. The moment he was standing in front of the door, he heard the shower was still on, and Kris felt something in the pit of his stomach. "Babe?" He knocked. "Babe, are you there?"

No answer. The ringtone still sounding. 

Kris started to worry as he knocked on the door harder. "Y/N? Y/N!" 

Still no answer. The water in the shower still running.

"Yah! Open the door, Y/N!" When there was still no answer, Kris cursed under his breath as he rushed to the other room to get the bathroom’s key by the counter. 

Rushing back, he s the key into the hole almost hastily, unlocking it.  He was welcomed by the sight of shower, running and unoccupied. Opening the door wider, Kris felt like his eyes would pop out of its sockets as he saw the sight of you; half- and lying on the ground, unconscious.

"Y/N!" He panicked, making his way to the ground towards you. He touched the side of your neck and felt a pulse. He released a relieved sigh, glad that you were still breathing and your heart was still beating. He grabbed a towel and wrapped your upper body with, causing you to stir slightly. 

"Babe?" Kris said as he cradled you in his arms, tapping your face slightly. "Y/N?! Can you hear me?"
