Prologue

"Yeonie..." I called out. It was another time of the day when Yeonie and I were playing. Well, we were playing awhile ago, but now, she's gone. Tsk. That's why I hate playing hide and seek. She always begs me for it so that she could get away from the chores. It was not really a big matter for me, but Mom has specifically instructed me not to go home without Yeonie.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Lee Hyukjae, but I preferred being called Eunhyuk. I am currently 12 years old. I love dancing. I really wish to be one of the dancers in the palace. They inspire me. My favorite is the waltz. Though, my sister tells me that ballet is more beautiful in terms of dancing, I don't care. We're different.

My sister and I are way too different. She had beautiful eyes, unlike mine, small and single lidded. Her hair was naturally golden brown, like Mom's, again, unlike mine. My hair was quite lighter than the usual, but I like it just the way it is. One more thing, my sister is an honor student, unlike me. Though, there's this one thing that we can get along together. It's dancing.

Dancing has become our family's great asset. I remember when I was younger; my Mom told me that my Dad was a dancer in the palace, too. That's why I love dancing. My Dad really did dance very well. My Mom told me that she fell in love with him the first time they held hands during a dance. One day, I wish I can find my own bride who is good at dancing, too.

"Oppa!!!" I heard my sister call me. That's it. She just broke my narration once again. That's why I really hate her. We could never ever get along with things. She was running towards me.

"Where have you been?!" I exclaimed at her. She was surprised, I can tell. She was breathing really hard.

"I am sorry, Oppa. I won't do it again." She told me.

"You didn't even answer my question. We're so dead, Yeonie. It's already past 6:00pm!" I shouted at her. It's a good thing we are on more inurbane areas in the place. There are not much people here, so nobody would scold me for scolding to my sister.

"Whatever, Hyukjae."

"You dare call me by my first name? Where are your manners?!"

She gave no response. But rather, she smiled at me and ran to our home.

That is my eight-year-old sister. Her name is Hyoyeon, though; I prefer calling her Yeonie, because it's cute. Anyway, I don't really like her. We always quarrel, etcetera, etcetera. When I was a little bit younger, how I wish I had a brother rather than a sister. But, my mom preferred it anyway. She told me, if I have a brother rather than a sister, we would quarrel much more than I had been quarreling already with her. Mom also told me, that it is my duty to protect my sister, because I am her big brother. I liked that.
