The Start

Description

***English is not my first language. I did not check the grammar of the following text. Still, I hope you will have fun reading it***

Kennish is sixteen years old. He is your average nerdy guy, shy, gentle, friendly, far from a jock popular among girls. All this is going to change. His parents just died in a plane crash and as he thought he does not have anyone anymore, he discovers he had been adopted. By the McKenzies, the richest family in Atlanta City. The one's with popular kids and crazy parties, such big parties that one may think summer never ends.

My name is Haley, I am his friend, and my world is also going to change. At that moment, I still wasn't sure if I was going to like it.

Foreword

It was a sunny day and all teenagers were at the beach. I personally prefer a refreshing place to be and decided to work at the Coffee Shop this summer. Sadly, not everyone agree with me, since the place is pretty much empty. It was three o'clock in the afternoon when I received a call from Kennish. Such irony. Such irony that on such a sunny day, there is a plane crash at the other side of the planet, in Africa. Such irony that Clara and Mark Sawyer, two of the best person in this world, may be dying right now. And finally, such irony that I am stuck at the Coffee Shop while my friend Kennish is witnessing the darkest moment of his life. Oh, such irony.

Ken is a great friend, the kind you can talk honestly and be friendly even though you are not of the same . He is the one with who I share ideas about the future, but not gossip or diss of our own friends. Girls find him handsome because he is tall and nice ...and because he isn't repulsive. He has dreamy eyes, but that stops here. In the eyes of most girls, he is far from being a Ryan MacKenzie (the surfer with dreamy green eyes and beautiful muscles) or Seth Stewart (the basketball star also known as the bad boy ). He is also far from the handsome twins Joseph and Peter Cohen or the genius with angelic smile Jules Cooper. But he is my friend and I never expected him to be part of that clip. Guess I was wrong.

That summer was the beginning of a new life. For Ken, but also for all of us. I just didn't know it yet.
