this is not a love story
this is a story about love.
"what is love?" a small mumble escapes from the mouth of his dorm mate. "daehyun?" the boy looks up, only to find the other already looking back.
he hesitates, thinking how now would be a good time to press his lips on baekhyun's because one, you can't define love. he wants to pull baekhyun closer, closer to his chest and let him feel how each beat answers his very question. daehyun wants to tell him how every inch of baekhyun's pale skin makes him sleepless, how often he gets lost in his eyes and how his smiles make daehyun's day so much better than before.
but this is baekhyun, and he knows so well how baekhyun always asked for answers--concrete answers. so, daehyun curls his lips to a smile.
"love is the offspring of joy and sorrow. you love for happiness, but you can never love without hurting."

author's note:
hello! i've been writing daebaek for the longest time, but this is the first time for me to post them in public.
i'm guessing that this will be a chaptered fic, but i'll keep them real short and direct to the point as possible! :) the chapters will be set as "days" but it wouldn't be in chronological order (i.e. day five may come first then proceed to day seventeen. the same way as in the movie 500 days of summer)
this fan fiction will have different themes so i'll be sure to warn you guys! :)
the movie (500) days of summer gave me so much muse, so let me just thank [the movie] for that. i hope you'll enjoy reading this! :)
