“Well…so how’s life?” I asked.

            Kris called me tonight, 1.09 a.m. to be exact. Coincidentally, insomnia is one of my main complex these days, so I guess his surprise call tonight is a gift. I’m bored and I can’t sleep. Maybe you guys can conclude that I’m having a love-hate relationship with my bed right now.

            “Sal, seriously…your crush…that guy…he needs help.” Kris answered across the phone. I can hear the desperate tone in the way he answered. A blanket of silence suddenly covered me.

            “W…what the heck happened to him? Is he okay? Kris?”

            “Everything changed since she left. The waitress in the club we visited last New Year’s Eve found him drunk in table no. 3. I don’t know anymore, he started drinking again since years. He stopped writing songs. It seems like…Idk, he’s just lost. He made everyone worried.”

            Again, a blanket of silence.

            “Gosh…that’s just…”

            “I know right? He needs help. Oh wait, he needs YOU.”

            WHAT THE ?!

            “W-w-wait, what do you mean with that?”

            “Maybe you can, just say, entertain him and make him forget her? It’s going too far. And, knowing him more, it’s your dream since a long time right?”

            Me and Kris, we’re friends since EXO made a debut as a boygroup, and I made my debut as a make-up artist for idols. I don’t understand how SM took such a big risk: paying an inexperienced make-up artist for one of their hugest project in history, a.k.a. the boys from the EXO planet. I mean, of course the project is VERY HUGE, since SM released 23 teasers and 2 prologue singles, which they didn’t provide for the other SM artists.

            Well at least SM didn’t pay an inexperienced make-up artist for their other groups.

            But, for a rookie, I’m actually pretty good! The boys looked great in their first showcase, thanks to me!

            I don’t know why he wanna make a friend with me. He said that I’m funny. But I don’t know. Maybe he just missed someone to speak in English with at the moment.

            We’re very close since then.

            And, thanks to him, I know what it feels like to have the “butterflies-in-your-belly” moment.

            Not him, I don’t have a crush on him. His bestie. Zhang ing Yixing, that’s how I wrote his name in every page of my diary (don’t laugh at me, yes, I still write on my diary till now). His smile. His dimple. The way he behave to everyone. He’s not as tall as Kris, but, hello, who the hell cares?!

            And now, he’s in danger. He needs somebody.

            I knew that I had a one-sided crush on him since the Wolf era (and SM recruited me again this time wow haha).  He confessed. To a lucky girl name called Jang Nara. He confessed right after they went downstage, searching for ‘the one’ in the middle of a crowd of the crews and other artists. And, there she is, Jang Nara, sitting in the middle of her group, Pink Trouble. I saw everything from afar, he took her hand, to the TV Station’s balcony, they talked to each other for a while, a conversation that only them and God can hear…and the next thing I saw, they kissed. His lips and Jang Nara’s lips.

            The first thing I did after that was telling myself that I’m okay.

            But now, it’s totally over. Him and that Nara girl. For a reason that I don’t know. The reason why he started drinking again. The reason why he stopped writing songs. The reason why he lost his smile, the smile that I fell for since the first time I saw him.

            Zhang ing Yixing…are you okay?
