Paper Skin

Description

Everyone has at least one tattoo of their biggest fear. It is required by law to have these ink words or pictures on your body. Leeteuk didn't have any tattoos though.

Foreword

Leeteuk's P.O.V

I walked out of the cafe with my favorite drink in hand as I made my way back home. I was glad there weren't anymore classes since summer break had started, and I just wanted to lay around and stay inside. Partly because I wanted a break from school, but also because I didn't like the way people looked at me. Some looked with envy, some with awe, just because I didn't have any tattoos.

I didn't know I was fearless until I took the test when I was 16. Everyone took the test when they reached 16 but my results were, how they would say, undefined. So I was classified as fearless, perhaps the only fearless person in the country, or so they say. I didn't really mind, I personally thought the test was stupid.

Sighing quietly and scratching the back of my head, I walked down the sidewalk with my head down so I wouldn't draw attention. It didn't matter though as I could feel people's eyes on me.

Quickly I made it home only to find that there were moving trucks in the front yard of our old neighbor's house. They moved away a few months ago, and since then the house had been empty for quite some time. I didn't actually know the people who lived there before but I knew that each of them in the family was deathly afraid of spiders. That's what my umma told me the first time they moved in.

Curious as to who was moving in, I stopped by the fence to my front yard and watched as movers pulled furniture and other items out of the truck, sipping my drink quietly to go unnoticed. A few moments later, a car came rolling down the street and parked behind one of the moving vans.

Out of the front two doors came a middle-aged looking woman and her husband who looked just a bit older. They walked around the car and hugged while looking at the house, big smiles on their faces. What caught my attention more though, was the door in the back opening up. Out stepped two legs, converse on feet and dark blue jeans that were just a tad bit tight.

When they completely stepped out of the car I almost dropped my hot chocolate on my feet. They had tattoos. No, not like everyone else. They had tattoos all up their arms, some going under their loose t-shirt. There was even a tattoo on his neck. They were everywhere.
