(Will You) Show Me The Dawn

Description

It all started in a gloomy afternoon. Jeon Jihwan, a barely legal average boy, was heading from his recently purchased house to do some errands. He had a part-time job, to join his Japanese tutoring lessons and his “personal training” practices as a teacher, he’d start after he’d deliver some advertising from the new bakery down the street, as he promised to do.

Dusk silently approached the mountains in the gold and fire and rosy tones contrasting with the black, far away mountains and skyscrapers and tall buildings all over Seoul. The next day would be warm. July it was. Jihwan grinned pleased and wiped the sweat from his burgundy highlighted fringe, having ebony as a base color. A dark haired boy in between the other millions of teens with as dark hair, a dark haired 19 year old in between a world of progress and fashion victims. He has always preferred black hair to contrast with his soft pale skin. His tender and juicy, pinky and smiling, too thick lips for a male, his opal-like ebony shaking and brightened with a whiten glow, pleasant pair of eyes. He’d bring a backpack on his shoulder even if he was graduated and it was summer, some summer trunks and some striped colorful shirt. That definitely corresponded to what they’d call Jeon Jihwan. That, and the bright smile on his lips.

Note: This oneshot ended up having the length of 20 pages (in Calibri, size 11) instead of 12 like it was supposed. Take that in mind before reading.

Foreword

Jeon Jihwan [ Jay ]

Jihwan is a currently 19 year old boy that just graduated from school and just moved from his parents' house to get his own freedom and his own life. For that reason, Jihwan is spending his vacations working part-time, helping out with Japanese lessons by tutoring students who are initiating their studies in Japanese, my doing errands and lately he was contacted to be turned into a personal trainer for some rich girl. He has a special talent for dancing but it's not like he'll show it like that, since his own essence if of some dorky yet shy boy.

Besides that, Jihwan will be welcoming two of his friends into his house since it's a newly bought house he has just payed with his parents' help and with all his savings. Those friends are Woo Hyunmin, his neighborhood long date hyung, and his relative Park Hyunchul whom they call Karam.

After all that, Jihwan will be receiving an unexpected visit.

Kim Yeonhee

Yeonhee is rich, arrogant, careless, grumpy, rebel and doesn't give a damn about how others feel. She's a little , literally, giving away some worthless coins to people just like they were homeless. Even if she is 23 years old, she is pretty immature and tends to think of herself as the only thing that exists. To her, all that exists besides her own belly button is going out at night, meeting up with boys and doing not much besides that or consuming drugs or drinking.

Her parents tried to keep her in a Christian internal school but she ran away for a few times and as soon as she became legal, she went out of the cage and vanished for half an year, making use of all her, apparently, worthless possessions and selling them so she'd live well without her parents' help, still, getting into beat up abandoned buildings nearby the "guetto" and staying there with her drugged friends for days. After months of hiding, Yeonhee came back home and lives with her parents' money, not daring to get a job, other than involving herself in gangs or dar businesses.

She has a younger sister, named Yuhee and they both are known for being beautiful.

Kim Yuhee

Kept away from the dangers of the world, it was Yuhee's educational method, on her parents' behalf. Afraid their younger prodigy daughter would be corrupted just like her older sister, Yeonhee, Yuhee has always been at home, and she has been taught with the best teachers in the country, the art of poetry and literacy and she became fluent in about six languages. Wanting to go out and meet the world and finally see her sister after so many years being kept apart, Yuhee insisted to do her high school out of home in order to meet others.

As she came out of her own house, she discovered a new talent of hers, inside other than poetry or any other language: she found out that she loved photography, that she loved what they all called fashion, and she slowly began to understand why she was kept away from the outside world. This is, to obey to her parents' standards.

When she then met her sister Yeonhee again, she realized that she wanted to be different as well and that her parents shouldn't stop them. Still, she is frightened of others, shy, quiet and socially awkward, even if she is 20 years old.

Woo Hyunmin

Proudly 23 he is, Hyunmin is Jihwan's neighbor and his hyung from the neighborhood they both shared toys and secrets, which girls they liked in middle school and who they liked in high school. Resumedly, Hyunmin and Jihwan have always been confidents, even when Hyunmin moved away for a few months to get his house fixed, so he could have his ex-girlfriend to live with him. After a while, Hyunmin ended up selling that house and spending a few weeks at Jihwan's place, so he'd rent a flat for himself to live on and later on buy it if he liked it.

Four years older than his dongsaeng, Hyunmin helped Jihwan move into his house and that explains why he is so enthusiastic about his dongsaeng's house, since Jihwan bought it to himself, not because he was moving to live with his girlfriend or something of the same genre.

The subject is still some harsh topic for Hyunmin because he is quite sensitive, but acts cool to hide on how bad he feels. He is a quite cheerful guy who is known for having quite sharp vocal chords, making his voice sound like he is a barking husky. He works in a sportswear store and practices and gives surf lessons whenever he has time but by summer he is a bodyguard.

Park Hyunchul [ Karam ]

A 21 year old flower boy who works on a flower shop, that'd the be perfect description for what Hyunchul is. Officially homoual, Hyunchul, also referred to as Karam by some friends, has the appearance of a girl at times, and, the same behavior as a girl as well. His love for girly things is evident, no wander he took the job in which you must pair up flower prettily. It requires skill and slim, delicate and small hands like Hyunchul's hands.

He has known Jihwan for a while now, more explicitly since they both attended kindergarten and from that moment on, never putting apart from each other, and they both realized they were cousins, though they weren't directly related, through blood line.

By Jihwan's departure from his parents' house, the fairy-handed boy, Karam, cooked him all his meals so he'd not starve and helped him pack dilligently, so Jihwan wouldn't mess up. For that reason, he'll be joining him to congratulate him on having his new house.

Aiden Philippe Hudson Lee

Recently arrived from United Kingdom, Aiden is actually a very wise young man, and a very travelled one, being mostly caucasian but having Asian blood flowing on his veins. Maybe that's what made him go to Seoul to meet once more his friend Jihwan whom he met when he travelled to the United States of America a year ago on vacation with his very British friends. That's why he appears on the story: not only to meet a friend from one of his origin countries but also to learn a little about the culture since it was his chosen location to spend his vacations.

Very humble and gentle yet a little bit too serious at times and a little bit grumpy just like the average british man, this young male barely has asian genes on him, but he loves the country from what he has always heard from his asian relatives and from what he has learned himself.

The blue eyed boy has 17 years old (18 in Korea) and intends to try to make a casting so he can later on become a trainee, even if he is already a bit too old to debut after a few years of constant training.
