Author’s POV

Both of them stuck on their place. Their mind was blank because of this unexpected thing. That was not something they imagine about the event. Yes. Baekhyun knew it was gonna be her arranged marriage event. But not with him. Not with his best friend. Not Oh Sehun. He knew Youngneul loved Sehun more than anything. But no. He couldn’t let his only sister fell on the wrong hand. He knew how Sehun’s attitude toward Youngneul. He hate her. He would never make his sister happy.

But… how could he oppose his parent’s will? It could be someone else but Sehun! There were tons men in the world but their parents chose him to be their son in law.

Youngneul still didn’t utter a single word. She didn’t know how to react toward the fact that she’s marrying Sehun. Her first love. Happy? Beyond anything. But… Was Sehun willingly to marry her? She knew Sehun hate her more than she could ever imagine even though she didn’t exactly know what she did wrong in the past to make him hate her.

What should she do?

She wanted to marry him more than anything and maybe she could teach him to love her slowly. But she didn’t want to make Sehun angrier than he already did. She was afraid Sehun going to leave her if she pushed the marriage.

Suddenly she felt someone was holding her hand tightly. She spun around. Her eyes were looking at her brother. He was mad. She put another hand above her brother’s and forced him to stop walking.

“Are you going to be happy with him? Just one word and I can do anything for you, Youngie.”

There was nothing in Baekhyun’s eyes but worry about his sister. She smiled warmly.

“Oppa… I love him. This is my only chance.”

He guessed it already. His sister was a fool for Oh Sehun. Of course she would choose to hurt herself. He settled his eyes on his sister meanwhile Youngneul cried already. It hurt. Although she knew she could avoid a heart broken, but she chose to be selfish. She wanted to have Sehun. She didn’t care if Sehun hate her more. She was preparing for it anyway. This was her only chance.

Baekhyun took out a handkerchief. He erased the tears on his sister’s cheeks.

“Oppa will always by your side. Tell me if it’s too hard for you, hm?”

“Thank you oppa.”

“Aigoo. My babygirl.”

After a while, both of them went back to the room. The parents were looking at them expectedly. They didn’t ask them because they respect Baekhyun and Youngneul’s opinion. However, they did this without notice. It must be shocking for both. Meanwhile Sehun was only drinking his wine calmly.

Slowly, Youngneul and Baekhyun made their way to the dining table. She looked at Sehun’s expressionless face.

“Good evening eommonim, abeonim.”

“Hello youngsters.” Sehun’s mother hug Baekhyun and then Youngneul. Her eyes were full of appreciation toward the girl. “Omona. Uri Youngie finally. Neomu yeppeo. How are you, sweetie? Are you doing fine? You didn’t find any trouble after moving back, right? Tell me if anything happen, okay?”

Youngneul chuckled.

“Don’t worry eommonim, I will call you anytime.” She moved to Sehun’s father and hugged him tightly like her own father. The older man patted her back while smiling gently. The old man never broke his stone cold face, but that was Youngneul. Everyone would melt under her smile. “Abeonim!”

“Welcome back, daughter.”

“Isn’t there any welcome back gift for me?”

“Of course we prepare one for our little girl!” Sehun’s mother clapped her hands happily. Youngneul beamed cheerfully. “We will give you after the dinner. Waitress!”

While everyone talking to each other, Youngneul silently glancing at Sehun while the said one was playing with his wine glass. He looked so bored. Sometimes he would answered if he was being questioned. But after that he would say nothing.

“So, Youngie, I heard you went around Europe before you went back. How’s that?”

“It’s amazing! So many places you can visit.”

“Geurae?”

“Of course! Eomma, eommonim, we shall go there someday. My friends showed me lots of beautiful and interesting places! Let’s go there next time.”

“What about we the dads? Aren’t you taking us too, baby?”
