After Nana was released from the hospital, she tried everything to get things back to normal but knew that they never would. Manager Joon became her legal guardian but at first, many people were against the idea of a stranger taking care of the famous CEO Lee's daughter. But, child services and the Court house approved of it since Mr.Lee's will explained that if he and his wife died before Nana was 18, Manager Joon can put her under his custody. Nana was grateful that her dad made sure she had a happy life even though he wouldn't be a part of it.

                 After that, things started getting better until the day of her parent's funeral. To her surprise, her dad's family showed up. Nana thought that maybe they were there to give their condolences but when they started questioning Manager Joon about her father's company and money, she realized that they were just there to see if they would inherit the million-dollar corporation and fortune. When Manager Joon told them it wasn't rightfully there's, they asked who was going to take care of it if Nana wasn't 18 yet. He told them that he was taking care of the business right now since he was the legal guardian of Nana. All of a sudden, they started acting like they cared for Nana's well-being and wanted to take her under their custody.

               Nana wasn't buying it though, neither was Manager Joon. He ordered the bodyguards to them out of the funeral home, claiming they were being a nuisance. The Lee family became outraged and ordered Joon to court because he had no right to take charge of the company without anyone's consent. But, Nana knew he did have the right and they just wanted the money and power for they were a poor family and leached off of her father when he was alive.

              After the Court house pulled out Mr. Lee's will again to prove that Manager Joon had the right to own the company and that his family was not mentioned in the affair of the inheritance of his company, the family was extremely upset but decided to go back home to Korea. However, as Nana and Manager Joon were walking out of the court room, Mr. Lee's family crowded around Nana and yelled at her, accusing that she was the reason for her parent's death and that she had no right to inherit the company for she was a disgrace to the family name. They said she would run the company into the gutter and tarnish her familys reputation. Nana knew it wasn't true but she couldn't help but think it could be. Her parents wouldn't have had to reschedule their flight if she wasnt being a baby over them not being home on her birthday. She immediately became depressed afterwards.

                To cheer Nana up, Manager Joon decided that starting next year, Nana would transer from her private school to a public school. He believed it would be better for her since it would be easier to make new friends and the new school would be closer to his own house. Although, Nana won't be living with him, he could pick her up and check up on her easily. Nana suggested he move into her house but he refused profusely.

               ****** 1 year later

              "Are you sure you have everything?" Manager Joon asked, trying to fix Nana's tie. I hate school uniforms. He thought as he finally straightened out her tie and tucked it underneath her sweater vest.

               "Yes, I'm sure." Nana moved his hands away. She wasn't exactly excited about a new school; she just wanted to get this day over with. "Stop fussing over me, I'm fine. Let's go. I don't want to be late."

               "Okay, let's go."

               Manager Joon watched Nana walk away towards his car. He shook his head and sighed. That girl is way too mature for her age.

                It felt like forever before they got to the new school. Nana had skipped a whole year of school after her parent's died to deal with her family's business conflicts and was regretting it because she had forgotten all about her old friends and trying to make new friends wasn't exactly the easiest thing in the world. Nana felt anxiety rising up in her body.

                They finally pulled up to the drop-off zone of her school. "We're here." Nana only nodded her head while looking out the window.

               Manager Joon sighed. "You'll be fine, Nana. Don't worry."

               She only nodded her head again, still looking out the window.

              "Come on, I thought you didn't want to be late. Have a nice day Nana. I got to get to work." Manager Joon said, unlocking the doors. "I'll pick you up around 3:00."

              Nana opened the door and climbed out of her seat. She looked back at Manager Joon as he drove away. It felt like a million years since she last went to school and the anxiousness she felt moments ago turned to fear and nervousness. Just remember, If you make at least one new friend today, you're doing pretty good.

            At that thought, Nana walked towards the new school, hopeful and doubtful thoughts filling her mind. Hearing the first bell, she ran to class, marking her first day at her new school, and her new life.
