"When did it all start?" is the question I always find myself asking. "When did I, Byun Baekhyun, started to see these red threads?" 

The answer is actually quite simple, "I started to see them when I was around 7" But what happened and how it happened is different.

I remember when I was little, during one really hot day in summer, I was in the living room with my parents. I was laying there enjoying the cold breeze from the air conditioner when I spotted something, it was a red string attached to my mom's pinky. I followed the string with my eyes and saw that it was attached to my dad's pinky. I got up off the ground and grabbed the string, I felt it, it was really thin, but seemed strong.

After a while of studying the mysterious red string, I said "Mom. Dad?". They both turned their attention to me and my mom said "Yes, Baekhyun?" giving me a soft smile. I looked at her before saying "Mom, what is this string that is around your pinky?" She looked at her pinky and then looked at me with a questionable look, apparently, it seemed that she didn't see it and said: "Baekhyun, there isn't anything around my pinky"   I looked at her and said "Yes, there is! It's wrapped around your pinky and wrapped around dads!" with annoyance in my voice. They both exchanged a concerned look, then looked back at me. This time my dad spoke and said "Baekhyun, you must be tired. Go take a nap and then everything will be ok, once you wake up" I looked at him and said "But there is a red string around your pinky! AND I'M NOT SLEEPY!" 

"Baekhyun, come on sweetly. You need to sleep, or else you will get a heat and pass out. That can be really dangerous" said my mom in a soft voice, getting off the couch; where she was reading a book a while ago. She carried me in her arms and took me to my room where she the a.c, after tucking me into my bed. And kissing my forehead saying "I will come back after a few hours to wake you, ok?" I nodded as a response and she left.  And I closed my eyes and slowly drifted to a deep sleep.

After 2 hours my mom came back to me and my older brothers room to wake me up. She sat on the edge of the bed, putting her hand on my forehead and asked: "How are you feeling?" I answered "Ok, I think"  she gave me her soft smile before helping get up from the bed. And we walked into the living room where my dad and older brother where watching t.v. 

My mom went and sat down by my dad and I sat with my brother. I looked at my parents and my dad looked at me and smiled and said: "You feeling ok now?" I nodded looking at his left hand that had the red string wrapped around his pinky that was linked with moms. 

I decided not to say anything, I didn't want to since they wouldn't believe me.

So, I, a 19-year-old boy named Byun Baekhyun, can see these red threads that link people to there partners... But, apparently, I don't know why but I can't seem to see the red thread that binds me to the one for me. "Does the person meant for me even exist?"
