Two worlds and History. These were the two things which turned Jia Ling, a normal modern 19 year old girl's life upside down when she finds herself suddenly travelling back to Emperor Kang Xi's era of the Qing Dynasty. All of a sudden, she finds herself torn in between her affections towards two princes, one whom she knows would end up suffering for eternity while the other would end up with all the fortune of the world. 

Aside from that, trouble starts brewing when she finds herself embroiled in the princes' fight for the throne and for power. 

Jia Ling, after trying to fix things discovers that the true history of China is far more horrifying than what they say in books.
