Starship Magic Academy, or more commonly known as SMA, is not your typical "8am-3pm" or "Study hard" type of school. It's much more than just a school. It is where some of the universe's greatest wizards and witches have graduated, or in fact is teaching at this pretigious academy. It is where some of the world's greatest wonders and happenings have occurred. All students there were born with a special gift, the gift of magic. Magic runs in their blood, through their veins, and with the 10 years in SMA, they all learn and uncover the true capability of their gift and train it to a powerful extent. However magic does have a dark side. Curses are cast, rivalries are made, magic powers are abused. Friend friend, backstabbers were all too common. The teachers and professors at SMA were undeterred, as they were always able to keep the students' powers under control. Discipline was everything at SMA, the magic rule list about 200 lines long, prefects were carefully chosen to maintain the standard of good behaviour, suspension of even expulsion once a certain number of demerit points collected. This sounds tough, but majority of the student body didn't have an issue with any of these, and in fact felt honoured to be studying in an exclusive school meant only for kids like them. Life was somewhat normal for the young wizards and witches there, until a significant event hit, impacting the magic world, and even threatening it. 

It was slightly more than 10 years ago. 4 students, all were the worst troublemakers at SMA; playing cruel pranks, turning teachers into toads and even once tried to have a magic showdown with the headmaster in order to take over the school. But despite their cocky attitudes and atrocious behaviour, they were also some of the most powerful wizards in the academy, their magic so strong that they could overpower some of the staff. Unable to tolerate their behaviour, all 4 student wizards, with a unanimous decision by both the school staff and the ministry were not only expelled but banished from ever entering the world of magic again. Their broomsticks were burnt to ashes and thier wands locked away in the ministry underground safe. These 4, however, were not so easily tamed. Furious that they have been banned, they combined their magic powers together and planned a huge attack on SMA, by turning the whole school upside down, putting it under a curse and causing chaos beyong anyone's control. But, they had very little training on using their powers without the help of a wand, and their plan backfired. Instead, hundreds of ghosts, all demon-like creatures called Hengeyokai have been released into the magic world. These creatures are shape shifters, able to hide well, and then the magic powers out of any wizard or witch who is unfortunate enough to encounter it. 

The 4 rebels died almost instantly, dry by the creatures they had created themselves. The Hengeyokai continued to invade the world of magic, with many many wizards and witches and young magicians losing their lives. It was a mess of lost lives, blood and tears and the war between the magic world and the Hengeyokai raged on. As the years progressed, the number of Hengeyokai have reduced significantly, and now it was somewhat safer. However, there were still attacks, one at a time and each one was stronger than the previous one. In fact, it had grown so strong, that not even one powerful spell from a wizard can take it down. SMA then came up with their life-saving plan. They would chose 2 of their best and most powerful students, and a brain combining spell would be cast, meaning the 2 students would be able to see each others' memories, and now cast the same spell at the same time, move together and even feel the same pain as each other. With double the magic power, the battle between them and the Hengeyokai was much much easier. However, as effective as it sounded, there were great risks and many students have lost their lives, or traumatised because their former partner has been killed in battle. 

And so, the student body was divided up into 4 houses, named after the 4 students who had created the Hengeyokai;

Aiden (Fire)

Duncan (Dark Warrior)

Orion (Hunter)

Xenos (Stranger)

Each year SMA would organise inter-house games, where a captured Hengeyokai would be cloned, and in the arena the teams of 6 wizards from each house compete to see how many Hengeyokai clones they are able to defeat and lock in their goal. The number of Hengeyokai clones in their goal would determine their score. But the REAL Hengeyokai was the ultimate prize. One member from each team called the seeker would have to try and find the real demon and recapture it. Whoever manages to do it wins the match no matter what the score. This was also considered training for when a real attack happens. The 2 best wizards from each house then would be called upon to defend the land when neccessary. This system defended the school for years, until something, forced them to do something ever so crazy.....

CHARACTERS:

No Minwoo: A freshman at SMA, only recently discovered he had the gift of magic. He is an orphan who has been staying with his poor grandmother until he got called upon by the school. However he was always picked on for small size and innocent and cute appearance. Has a great fear of Hengeyokai because of a traumatic childhood experience. Best friends with Jo Youngmin and Jo Kwangmin.

Jo Youngmin: Older twin of Jo Kwangmin. He knew he had the gift of magic ever since young and was extremely excited to enrol in SMA. Came from a wealthy family and studies hard. Often defends his best friend Minwoo from bullies by shouting back at them or telling Minwoo what to do whenever he encounters them again. 

Jo Kwangmin: Younger twin of Jo Youngmin. He too was from a wealthy family. Like his older brother, he knew about his powers since a very young age. He also defends their best friend Minwoo, but he secretly pranks the bullies instead of standing in the front line. He is more quiet and mysterious compared to his twin.

Lee Jeongmin: A Year 2 student who is lively, energetic and very good with spells. He is one of the prefects at SMA. He is best friends with Hyunseong and Donghyun. Both he and Hyunseong are training to get into the team in Orion house. 

Shim Hyunseong: A Year 3 prefect whose best friends are Jeongmin and Donghyun. He has a strong sense of justice and takes care of his dongsaengs well. Currently training his broom flying skills in hope of getting into team Orion.

Kim Donghyun: A Year 7 prefect who is currently working his way up to becoming the head prefect. Close friends are Hyunseong and Jeongmin. He is one of the strongest players and the captain in team Orion. He had battled Hengeyokais before, but was traumatized after his partner had been cruelly murdered by one of the demons, and so was restricted from going out in a real fight ever since. Has a sister Kim Hyorin studying in SMA.

K.Will (Mr.Kim): The head of Starship Magic Academy. He was also a former student who battles Hengeyokai in team Aiden. He then graduated and soon became the new headmaster after the previous one died in battle. Has known Minwoo since he was a student, and when Minwoo was still a young kid. He is very wise and is capable of telling which wizards/witches are worthy to represent and defend SMA and which are not. 

Kim Hyorin: The prettiest girl in Year 5. Is very powerful witch and belongs in team Xenos, where she is one of the 2 who represent the house in real actual combat against the Hengeyokai. Has a very close relationship with Bora, her fighting partner, as well as her brother Kim Donghyun. She is mostly kind but does have a few sensitive topics that can make her lose her temper.

Yoon Bora: Lively and cute, Bora was the least expected to be battling Hengeyokai alongside her partner, Hyorin. She is often underestimated by her overly-positive attitude and seemingly blur self in classes. Has a friendly and soft side for dongsaengs that she like. She has always topped the level 5 years in a row and is hoping to do the same again for Year 6.

Kang Soyou: A team member of Xenos, who likes to play the game a little rough. Known as the tough girl in the team. She is always exploring new possible spells and tricks to apply in the game. Due to the lack of prefessors, this Year 4 student was given the honour of teaching the freshmen their first basic spells.

Kim Dasom: The seeker of team Xenos, and like her senior and close friend Soyou, was asked to teach the freshmen their broomstick flying skills. But unlike the other member in her team she's a prefect, and is close to Hyunseong whose in her year and in the same prefect commitee. Is a very alert and quick to notice anything out of place.

SHINee: The fiercest, toughest gang in school. Consists of Lee Onew, Kim Jonghyun, Kim Kibum, Choi Minho and Lee Taemin. They all belong to team Duncan, which is infamous for being the roughest but strongest team in every game. They all compete with Lee Soo Man together in the games. Also, picking on the weaker freshmen every year was something they really liked to do, and for that reason, no one really dares to mess with them, except the professors and teacher who ultimately are still stronger than them.

A/N: (( HI EVERYONE)) so this is a new fic I've been thinking about writing for literally A YEAR now, and I'm not sure if this would become successful, so this is the summary and comments on the plot and gladly welcomed! As you can see it has major reference to Harry Potter but I will not be using the exact same plot in this fanfic. It will also include other bands but it will mainly be those from starship. Please do tell me what you think of the plot! And a really really grateful thank you to those who have commented or subscibed to this fanfic :) the story will most probably only start when it has enough response.
