During lunch everyone was tempted to talk about what they wanted to do for Sehun’s party but it was a challenge when he was sitting with us.

Sehun’s eyes drifted to everyone “I know what you guys are doing” He takes a sip of his water

“Eating” Kai teases

Sehun rolls his eyes and he removes his lips from the water bottle “You guys make it obvious. Every day you guys talk about dumb . You heads are never this quiet.”

“Maybe we’re really enjoying our lunch” Kai replies back and pretends like he’s going to elbow him, hoping he’ll get a flinch out of Sehun but nothing happens.

“Unless that was a sandwich, I’d believe you” His eyes were pierce and they looked very much annoyed “I’m letting you guys know I’m not showing up for that party.”

Chanyeol’s deep voice tries to act like he didn’t know anything “Oh, Heon’s party?”

Kris smirks “He knows about his party face”

“Party” Tao joins in the acting club “For what?”

Sehun rolls his eyes again and his lips

Kris shakes his head “Are you guys ing idiots. He knows.”

Kai sneers “You ing told him”

“Yeah, because he doesn’t know when his own birthday is” He lifts his arm without having to move another inch and Kai was already flinching

Saerin smiles “Why don’t you want to come to your own party? It’ll be fun”

Sehun doesn’t respond

She adds “If you come, Hayoung said she’ll strip for you”

I look over at her accidently spitting my water out getting her soaked. She stands up and starts to laugh along with everyone else, except me and Sehun.

“” Saerin gets napkins and tries drying herself

“Sorry” I start to help her

Kai smirks “It’s not a big deal right Saerin, you’re used to having things come on you.” He pats Chanyeol on the back “Right Yeol?”

He stops himself from taking a bite trying to hold in his laugh but after Kai patting him on the back he lost it. He couldn’t stop laughing and when he looks over at Saerin he stops as she raised an eyebrow at him.

Kai laughs “No today”

Kris shakes his head “ing blocker”

Tao turns to face Kris “What are you? You’re sitting in between Sehun and Hayoung.”

“Ah” Kai high fives with Tao and Kris stands up and puts his hands on Tao doing something to his neck. As they were busy fooling around, I could feel Sehun’s gaze on me. I slowly look and I was right, brown eyes to brown eyes.

“Let’s settle this ” Chanyeol’s voice causes me to look away from Sehun “If you guys can get this short without touching lips, you don’t have to go your party.”

Saerin claps her hands and smiles at the tall idiot “I like that idea”

Chanyeol hands me the chocolate cookie stick.

“Do you want chocolate pepero or strawberry?” Saerin asks excitedly. I shake my head trying to tell her I don’t want to do it but Sehun takes the one Chanyeol was offering.

He places the tip in his mouth and points the other end towards me, waiting. The only reason I didn’t want to do it is because I felt a little awkward having everyone stare.

Everyone starts chanting, wanting us to start. Sehun sits straight and faces his body towards me, leaning in with that stupid chocolate stick that looked good.

“Should we have her do this?” Kai asks “She’s not used to having long things in ”

Everyone laughs at his comment, even Sehun quietly chuckles. I sigh and lean in and start unannounced. Their voices got quiet as they watched both of us biting down the stick. As our faces were getting closer, he started to tilt his head to the left as I motioned mine to the right.

I could hear Chanyeol’s deep voice getting rowdy as he saw our lips get closer. I was about to stop but Sehun placed his hand behind my neck and pulled me in closer. Our lips contacted and I was about to pull away but his grips kept me locked with his lips.

For some reason my eyes closed and enjoyed his sweet kiss. It was soft and he was careful this time around. I couldn’t help but to laugh as I felt him chew and the cookie crumbles lingering in my tongue.

All our friends were teasing us and I suddenly remembered I was in school. My eyes pop open and I could feel my cheeks turn red caused by the heat rising inside of me as I pulled away.

“So that’s all we needed to do?” Chanyeol smirks “Get her to kiss you?”

“I might want that ” He says it in a serious tone and it didn’t take long for the boys to start their commotion all over again.

Sehun and I were walking to the parking, holding my hand as he walked me to my car. I wasn’t sure how I was going to pull it off and pick up Daehun without him noticing.

“Doing anything today?” I ask

He shakes his head “Just going home”

Crap, I need another plan.

“You should do something with the boys”

He releases my hand and leans on my car door “Don’t get me anything.”

I tuck my lips in. Right, I’m an easy person to read “Something small?”

He shakes his head “I don’t want to celebrate my birthday”

“Why?” I smile “You’re turning nineteen. It’s not the end of the world”

“I’m serious” His eyes turned cold

“Come on, what do you want?” My tone was soft as I crossed my arms

“Nothing you could give me.”

 He opens the door and I keep my eyes fixed on him but his eyes pay attention to something else from a distance. There was no way I couldn’t get him anything. I get inside and once I’m in he turns back to face me.

“I’ll see you later.” He closes the door without another word. He walks off and while he does that I try to figure out a way to get little Daehun to go on this gift mission with me.

The only thing I can come up with is Sumi. I dragged her with me and brought her to Sehun’s house. He’s never seen her and to be absolutely sure I had asked if she remembers talking to a guy with light blond hair and a slight half shaved head. She’s more than 100% sure and I trusted her, even if she was in her mid-sixties her memory was no joke.

“Okay, so ask if Mr. Oh Sehun is home and if he isn’t—”

She quickly adds “If he is what should I do?”

I start to fluster “Run?”

She gives the-are-you-kidding-me-look and I couldn’t help but to let a small laugh escape my closed mouth and shrug my shoulders with my hands up in mid-air as well.

“—and he’s not your boyfriend?”

I playfully roll my eyes “Sumi just go” I gently push her even though she was already opening the door to get out of my car.

I wait and after a while I spot Sumi walking back. I roll my windows down “Are we good?”

She nods and throws a thumb up at me. I start my car so I can pull in the driveway and Sumi gets in when I pick her up from the intercom. The old man recognizes me and I kindly tell him to not tell Sehun that I stopped by. He understood without questioning me and opened the gate for us. As I drove down the long private driveway, I suddenly thought of something. Sehun said he’d be home so why isn’t he? He lied to me? My heart cracked just a little of the thought of it. I’ve been used to him doing all things in front of my face so why did it hurt so much when it was behind my back.

“Is he really that good looking that you go out of your way to kidnap his brother for a birthday present?” Sumi distracts me and I lightly chuckle ignoring her comment.

We walked around Coex Mall, Daehun was awfully sweet but everything he was suggesting just didn’t feel right to give to Sehun.

“Come one Dae, what else?” I smile “Use that big smart brain of yours”

He cutely tucks his lips as he concentrates and after a while he frowns “I can’t”

“Get him a couple bracelet” Sumi winks

“We’re not a couple and—” A bracelet. “I just thought of something”

We reached the jewelry shop and I looked through numerous different charms. As I scanned, I tried to think of Sehun’s personality. I knew he could be moody but yet caring, in a strange way. He didn’t give me enough to really describe him but from what I knew there weren’t any particular charms to make me pick.

I spotted an infinity charm. As I stared at it, it reminded me of how he always said something about time. He always wanted to spend his days not worrying about their being a time limit. Instead of him owning a watch where there is a time to keep up with, maybe it would be a silly but cool idea if every time he looked down at his wrist he saw a symbol to let him know he has forever to kill time.

Might not be the best gift but sometimes the little details matter and the thought. I smile at the lady and point at the infinity charm. She smiles and sets it up for me. The black bracelet connects to the little hooks on the silver infinity charm and when she hands it to me, I feel excited. It was perfect.
