I caught my breath as my feet came to a final stop spotting my beautiful idiot that was about to walk out of my life. He was getting closer to the luggage check point at the airport.

“Sehun!”

I call him out and he doesn’t hesitate to turn around. My eyes meet my favorite pair of cold but warm dark brown eyes. I walk up to him feeling livid that he was going to leave like a coward.

“Is this your way of breaking up with me…because if you are this is a pretty ty plan.”

His cold gaze locks with my blurry vision. I told myself I wasn’t going to cry in front of him and I’m most definitely not going to seem vulnerable to him. I wasn’t going to give him that satisfaction because if he wanted to be cruel I could play that card too.

“Leave Hayoung”

“I’m not going anywhere until you tell me face to face that it’s over between us, that we’re done.” I made sure my voice was stern and I felt successful

He doesn’t move an inch, it takes him a few seconds to finally let go of his suitcase to walk closer to me.

“What are you doing Hayoung?”

“Letting you do the goodbye scene”

“Let’s not, okay—”

“Come on popular boy. You can do it.”

He stares at me with that look, the one that was never transparent for me and the one I was never able to read well.

“Okay. What do you want me to tell you first huh, that I ing hated you? That I hated your ing happy life so much I planned to ruin it and make you just as miserable as I am.” He pauses “Face it, you were just a bet I was supposed to and toss to the side like trash and…I did. I screwed your life up big time.”

I didn’t believe his words because I knew he didn’t mean any of it. He wouldn’t have been leaving like this if it wasn’t for one simple fact that he was denying, something he didn’t want to admit, he loved me.

I nod feeling frustrated that he keeps pushing me away regardless that this bet meant nothing to me.

“Yeah, you ed me. Except for me…” I get on my tippy-toes placing my hands behind his head getting my lips close to his ear. I whisper “I made love to you.”

I lightly scratch the bottom of his hair holding him for a minute, reminding him of my touch and love. I step away giving us the distance we were in earlier and look into his eyes.

“Now try doing it again”

I decide to give him one more chance to do this, one more opportunity to attempt to really end things if that’s what he wanted. Either he was going to be stubborn and get on that plane making me lose him forever or he would just stop being an and admit his true feelings. That was the one I was secretly hoping he would choose.

He breaks our eye contact. He doesn’t say anything except turn his back having his feet move away from me. I stand in place watching him walk away as people pass on by.
