You all know what a 'Flower Boy' is. Flower boys come in all different forms; from idols to actors to the famous F4 from the Japanese manga. This writing contest focuses on them specifically. There is so much that can be done with a flower boy theme and the three of us judges here are EXPERTS in flower boys. Atleast we think we are. We are more than excited to see what you all can come up with.

For this contest, you (the writers) have a lot of freedom. The only requirements, are to include a Flower Boy character in your fic and use one of our prompts.

 

Rules & Guidelines
• You must subscribe to the contest.
• The contest must be mentioned on your foreword. (You can use the banner below to do so.)
• The story you enter can be an ongoing fic or a completed fic, as long as it fits the two requirements (flower boy & prompt).
• No co-authors allowed. Beta readers are permitted for those who dont speak English as their first language.
• We absolutely will NOT tolerate plagiarism. If we find that your entry is actually copied from someone else, you will be automatically disqualified. Stories must be originals that YOU came up with.
• There is no required length. Your fic can be a one shot or a long chaptered fic - whatever you want!
• The genre can be anything; fluff, comedy, angst, romance, tragedy, fantasy, horror, etc. We will even accept entries, as long as there's a plot to it. We dont want random scenes.
• All pairings are welcome. IdolxIdol, IdolxOC, ActorxIdol, ActorxOC, IdolxIdolxIdol, etc.
• Pairings are not required. The characters dont have to be involved romantically.
• is allowed. But please, no mpreg or gender bending.
• Your story must contain a flower boy character, but you can do whatever you want with him.

The entries will be judged by our three judges - KeyShawol, Varsha, and HiImJancy - using a 50 point rubric. Each judge will give an individual score to each entry, and the fic with the highest average score will be the winner. We will be judging based off your use of the prompt, the role you've created for the flower boy, how you applied his role to the prompt, the overall plot of the story, and whether it caught our interest.
Grammar wont be held against you, but we'd appreciate it if you would go over it and use spell check or something.

Prizes:
1st Place - 2 One Shots, 3 Graphic Requests from Jazzy, and Sub+Upvote to the winning fic.
2nd Place - 1 One Shot, 1 Graphic Request, Sub+Upvote to submitted fic.
Judges' Pick - The judges will reward 50 Karma points each to stories they really liked personally, but didnt win.

Deadline:
All fics must be completed by December 24th, 2013 by 12am Eastern time.
Please make sure you stick to this date and try your best to have it done before then as to prevent any inconveniences on the day of.

The winners will be announced January 1st, 2014 at 12am Eastern time.
