CHAPTER 7: Not Funny

Oh, how impossible it seems. You give me your hand, but push me back down. I laugh with you to only find you laughing at me. I’m not one to make rivals but you make it damn easy.

“-Yeah, I agree, we shouldn’t met anymore – Wha-what?” She replied while turning around in question.

“I was out of line last time and I didn’t apologize for mocking you.” He looked away in slight embarrassment.    

Yoona stood there in confusion.

Here it was, Xi Luhan, the aloof star apologizing to a girl he seems to dislike for no reason.

“I’m sorry, too.” She shouted back impulsively.

“WAE?” He said back loudly with a slightly disgusted look on his face.  

“For slapping you in the face.” She smiled nervously. “Haha, that was unprofessional, huh?”

Luhan shook his head quickly and then pointed to the papers he dropped in front of Yoona moments ago. “Anyway,” He jumped the subject. “these are some songs I’M working on for the album. You should memorize them.”

“Oh.” Yoona said as she looked to the paper on the stage floor. She grabs it and walked back to Luhan thinking.  “You should listen to some of my songs I‘m working on also.” She asked formally. 

“No thank you.” He added as he set down on a chair to relax. “I listened to your CD already and I didn’t like any of your songs.”

Yoona looked at Luhan emotionally. But after a few seconds, she up her anger and pride to smile in an attempt to hide her fury.

Meanwhile, at Byong Café ( Yunho and BoA are about to discuss matters).  (Don't read if that don't want to, kind of boring)

“What brings you here?” Yunho asked Boa as they set down casually talking.

"LUHAN."

“Luhan?” Yunho said as he sighed in exasperation and put a hand on his chin. “It’s bad enough I have that brat on my mind. What could you possibly want to talk about when it comes to him?”

“It’s about the Yoona and Luhan matter. I want you to cancel the idea of them working together.”

Yunho jerked up in shock. “Wae?” Why should we do that? If we cancel this plan their fans will be disappointed and we’ll lose a -load of money. And there is also no telling what will happen to Yoona’s music career if we cancel.” 

Boa laughed wickedly.

“Boa Kwon, what are your reasons for asking me this all of a sudden? You are one of the world’s most famous singers. Why would someone as famous as you want to cancel this?” He asked.

“Because I have better possibilities for Luhan.” Boa then explained arrogantly. “Let me lay down the facts in front of you: the media wants Luhan to be partnered with Yoona because they looked well together. Here is the thing; don’t you think I’ll look better next to him? I could start advertising it tomorrow. The Queen of Pop, Boa Kwon and the rising star Xi Luhan, started working together. Balloons with Luhan and my name on it, billboards, buses, commercials, posters, lights flashing - ALL promoting us. Everyone wins, right? What do you think, Jung Yunho.”

Boa has made a very interesting point. She is very popular, famous and rich - if they make this transition, Luhan’s career will shoot off into instant and everlasting fame.
