I stop my tracks couples of feet from her.

Imspect his features again, like what i did a day before and the day before that and the day….

 it has been a while since I met the jet-black haired guy

THAT WAS MY BRAND NEW I-POD DAMMIT!

I went back into the room, I shut my eyes tightly and clutching onto my pillow, ignoring Sooyoung screaming at me

“sophie! Don’t you hear what I just said?!”

“SHUT UP Top!!”

“YOU SHUT UP MIYOUNG!”

“DON’T CALL ME THAT!”

 

That’s it, I couldn’t take it anymore. I get up from the bed and practically stomp my feet on the cold  floor and open the door

 

SHUT THE HECK UP!!

sophie and Top shut almost immediately and the longer taller curse under her breath, which clearly be heard about new i-pod and what not.

“Who the hell ask you to turn on the volume up early in the freakin moment anyway?” 

“Yah! It’s valentine day, I’m just spreading the love,” Top said in her defense

“Who cares about Valentine day…” 

“I do..” Tiffany mutters under her breathe causing the taller one look at her way

“Nobody cares if you do Tiff, anyway, for the love of sleep, it’s early in the morning and people are trying to sleep” she finish

“Sorry okay…” Top apologize, and turn her gaze towards the shorter woman.  Sophie nodded and walks away. Top just keep her eyes on Tiffany who seems to be a little bit down.

“Hey, mind sophie… she just…. sophie” causing Tiffany to smiles a little bit “What are you going to do today?”

“Nothing I guess” The eye smiling girl said with her voice lace with disappointment

 “Do… do you want to go out with me?” Top ask tiff

That definitely caught the shorter girl off guard “Go… go out with you? Like, on a date?”

Top smiles “Yah, like on a date”

Tiffany beams with happiness, she took Top’s hand “I thought you never ask”

 

Sophie walks alone, making her way towards her favourite Boutique store. Her face scrunches she Fall on walking upon various kind of couple along the way, who clearly having lover dovey moment with each other.

 Go get a room or something… she thought

It’s not like Sophie JUNG hates being in a relationship, it’s just that that topic has not crosses her mind at the moment for she prioritize her dream first. She did have some boyfriends before, but they weren’t good enough for her to continue the bond while knowing that it is not going anywhere.

While absorb with her thought, she bump into someone that causes both of them to fell on the floor

“Sorry!” Sophie squeals knowing that it was her fault.

“It’s okay, It’s okay” the stranger stands on his feet and offers Sophie a help. he took her hand and…

Sophie Jung has never been dumbfounded in her life. Well that would be a total lie but in this case, let’s just say that Sophie was utterly speechless.

In front of her, stood a tanned man who has a set of a very beautiful jet-black haired and not to forget a gorgeous smile.

“I’m so sorry,I didn’t mean to do that” he continues his apology causing the man to smile

“It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize… you’re always been that clumsy anyway…” the man softly said the last part

“Huh?” Sophie was taken aback, she heard a bit of what the stranger said

The tanned man shook his head “Nothing… anyway… Here’s a rose”

Sophie look at the rose that has been offered to her and she looks back at the man “Uhh…” the tanned man keeps on smiling at her, while giving her to the rose.

“Thanks” Sophie smiles a little while and took the rose.

“Happy valentine day, hope you will remember soon” the letter offers a smile and walks away.

Sophie stood still, still keeping her eyes on the man while clutching onto the rose.

Hope you will remember soon?

What does he means by that?

 

PRESENT TIME

 

“Hey…”

The familiar voice broke Sophie ‘s thought

“You’ve been staring at me for a while you know” the familiar man said

Sophie keeps looking at him, the letter on the other hand offers her another rose.

Sophie took it without any protest causing the tanned man smile.

“Wow, it took me 65 times to give you roses without having you giving me difficulties” the man chuckles “as expected…”

“Who are you?”

There… she finally said it. The question that she has been dreading to ask.

“Promises” one word was uttered

“What?” Sophie asks

“Promises” the tanned man repeats

“What are you saying?”

“I came here because of our promises” he smiles

That definitely causes Sophie to frown “Our what now?”

The tanned man looks at Sophie with the longing gaze “I understand that you don’t remember”

The letter  took Sophie’s hand in hers and lead them towards a nearest bench. he sits comfortably and so did Sophie.

“You told me not to forget about you” 

“What?” Sophie Confuse about what the man said .  When did she ever make such promise? She didn’t even know who’s the man beside her.

“We promise to not let go of each other when we meet again in another life?” he continues

Sophie was completely in shock

“That was the day that you were married to Jaejoong… we made that promise, and I never… never forget about it. Every words and line…” The tanned man smiles

“Who?What?” Sophie asks, she couldn’t even process every words that have been spoken

“Sophie…”

Sophie was in shock, the tanned man know his name!

“Do you believe me, when I said… that I’am here, right now, sitting beside you… wanting to make that promises come true? I’ve been waiting for the previous lifetime to end so that I can see you and never let anyone else took you away from me like what happen before”

 she was complete in shock, dumbfounded … and the list goes on and on.

“They told me that I shouldn’t tell you about all of this information, said that you would be in shock and everything, which…” the tanned man turns his head slightly, looking at Sophie. After seeing the love of his life expression ,  “I can see that you clearly are that in shock”

“But… I just don’t want to waste my time and court you with a slower pace. I wasted so many times in the previous life and that caused me the chance to be with you. I don’t want that.”

Sophie wanted to say something, ANYTHING!!

“So, just so you know… you already have my heart, and now I’ll try my best to get yours”

“Wha…at?” Great brain, great… for all this years in Harvard ‘WHAT’ is all you can come up with!? She mentally scolded herself.

The tanned man extend his hand, offers a handshake

 

“Soo, SOPHIE JUNG… My name is Promises…at least for now, hope you can remember my real name soon”
