1 – “Obviously he’s a catch!” Jongdae replied, turning his head to look at her like he had just lost hope in her. “He’s good looking, smart and rich.”

“Kim Jongdae! Are you in love with your boss?” Soah asked teasingly.

“What? No!” He answered, horrified. “I’m just stating facts, geez!”

2 – “Kwon Soah! Does your boyfriend know you have another boyfriend?”

“Kyung-Kyung?” she asked and he perked up. “Shut up.”

3 – “You have nothing worthy. It’s a real joke. I bet you weren’t even thinking of putting makeup.”

Truth be told, Soah believed that being sick, makeup probably wasn’t a good idea. Her mascara and eyeliner would run, her whole foundation would be melted away by the heat irradiating from her face and her lipstick would get smudged by the tissue she would blow her nose with.

“Thank God I’m here. Don’t worry, we’ll make you pretty.”

“Uh, thanks?” Soah uttered, feeling a sparkle in Baekhyun’s eyes she wasn’t so hot about.

4 – It was rare that her big sister wanted to share things with her and every time it happened, it made Soah feel special. After all, there was nothing she wanted more than be like her big sister. She looked up to Yuri like a lost soul following the North Star. Yuri shined so bright and sometimes she just felt so far away…

5 – Fate had laid a pattern for her life to follow and as much as she wanted to run away, she founded herself at the same spot all over again. She had tons of examples that corroborated that fact, but reminding herself of them sure wasn’t a good way to lock her past in the closet with all her skeletons, where it definitely belonged. But sometimes it was the time to pull one of them out. There were so many, Soah was worried her emotional and metaphysical closet full of skeletons would explode. 

6 – “I liked you the way you liked Yuri. But it’s okay now. It’s all in the past.”

“Thank you Soah.”

“For liking you when we were children?” Soah asked hesitatingly.

“For telling me you did,” he corrected her.
