His family goes on a cruise – as if celebrating his last three weeks of freedom – and once on the voyage to the US
upon the SSS Legacy he finds himself physically and mentally confined. He finally meets his fiancée and decides that
she’s truly everything he feared she’d be – too beautiful and frivolous for him to stand.
But on the first day upon the boat his life collides with that of a young widower and his daughter. Their lives and
circumstances are so different it’s only right that they would find companionship with each other and perhaps
something more.
