Choongjae ran around the kitchen, food flying everywhere as he tried to do too many things at once.

The eggs were too runny. The toast burnt. The salad soggy, dressing tasted funny. Even the juicer broke while he was trying to make orange juice.

When Sunho walked into the kitchen, he found Choongjae hunched over the table, sulking. “What’s the matter?”

Choongjae listed down everything that went wrong. “I just wanted to make breakfast for you like those romantic couples in movies, and it turned out to be a disaster.”

Sunho took a bite off the burnt toast, resisting the urge to laugh. “It’s not that bad.”

“You liar.”

“On the contrary, it’s perfect.” Sunho planted a kiss on his lips. “Because it’s made with your love.”

Perfect way to start the day, indeed.
