Chapter Seven- Part I- The Dungeons
It Isn't Safe (REVAMP IN PROCESS)The stinging pain in the back of Sora's head jolted her awake, accompanied by the uncomfortable sensation of cold rocks beneath her. The awful smell of rot kickstarted the awakening of her senses. She heard the rhythmic drip of water somewhere nearby. Sora opened her eyes, she found herself in a dimly lit underground chamber.
Struggling to shake off the grogginess, she sat up and surveyed her surroundings. From what she saw she immediatley knew she was locked in a dungeon, likely from centuries past. Despite the darkness, her eyes adjusted enough to make out the shapes and features of the cramped space. Rats scurried in the corners with little squeaks. That is disgusting...
The human drew in a shaky breath, the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach intensified upon her realization that her hands and feet were chained. She was unable to stand up, as the chains restricted her movements. Now she was really trapped, in the forest at least she could still choose where to go and stand. The panic gave her shivers. What was she supposed to do now? How would she even break free out of these chains? Was she supposed to wait for Jongin again to come and save her?
"No," she whispered to herself, trying to steel her resolve. "I need to find a way to rely upon myself and defend myself. I can't keep depending on others to help me. This time I need to help Jongin."
Even though the human felt quite helpless, there was a part within her wanting to repay Jongin by aiding him as well. Focussing on this seemed to help her to keep her panic at bay.
Speaking of, where is he anyway? Did he survive the attack? He can't have died, I'm sure of it.
