30. Epilogue

A Year and Half Later...

[Dara's POV]

If I was to write my own love story, it would be nowhere similar to most girls' love story. Some girls would probably have married their best friend or met the man of their dreams out of nowhere. Like one glimpse of that guy, and she knew it was him. Something you would have seen in a movie or read in a romance novel.

Of course those kind of love story is still worth cherishing, every love story is.

However, may I just brag for a bit here?

How my own love story is unique, one of a kind (maybe or maybe not), something you'd never thought would happen in real life. Looking back I knew I made the right choice.

I met the man of my dreams thanks to a bank. I didn't realize that my baby's father, who happened to be the donor, was the man that I have been longing for. Okay, there's a few cliché things about our relationship, but you have to admit having to connect us through a bank is something else. It's not everyday you hear someone say their love story all began with the bank.

And next thing you know faith decided to play on its own.

Kwon Jiyong, the epitome of a playboy, happened to be the perfect man for me. Not only that, but to have a family I didn't know I'd have. I am truly blessed for sure!

"Good grief Dara!" I turned hearing a sudden shriek behind me. I smiled seeing how stunned she looked at me. "Wow, I mean y mama over here!"

"Oh unnie!" I laughed seeing her bulging eyes. "How do I look?" I faced front again looking at my reflection in the mirror. "I don't know unnie, I feel like something is missing!"

"You look gorgeous Dara," Bom unnie walked towards me. She then pulled out a small, black velvet pouch. "I know what's missing," she then took out a pair of white gold earrings with a 2 carat diamond studs on it. "I know this means a lot to you."

"How?" I asked noticing the familiar earrings that once belonged to my mother. "I mean I..."

"I know how much these earrings meant to you," she explained. "And so when you told me you had it pawned, I decided to get it. I knew you weren't going to get it back since you needed the money financially and so I decided to do it for you. Of course I waited for a special occassion to give them to you. And this seems to be the right time."

"Oh unnie," I could feel my eyes moistening. "I don't know what to say."

"Let's just say it's something old," Bom unnie winked at me. "Come here, let's put these on you."

Once I had the earrings on, I gave unnie the tightest hug I have ever given to anyone. Of course don't tell Jiyong that. "I love you so much unnie," I whispered. "I'm glad you're always there for me. For being my only family, it means so much to me."

"Aigoo," Unnie muttered. "Don't make me cry! You know I don't cry! And plus the makeup artist did wonderful job on this!"

"I love you unnie," I pulled just a little bit so I could look at her in the eyes.

"You'll always have me as your family Dara," she smiled. "And I love you too, like a sister I never had. Of course don't tell my unnie I told you that."

"Thank you unnie. These earrings, it makes me feel like they're here," I tried not to cry, but the tears can't help but fall on its own.

"Let's stop this madness!" she laughed through her own tears. "I should head on out, I think someone else is waiting out there."

"Oh?" I whispered, but before I can ask more Bom unnie was already out the door.

"Auntie," I murmured seeing Mrs. Kwon enter the room.

"Dara, it's omma," she laughed. "My my you look beautiful dear."

"Thank you," I blushed. "You look amazing, hardly aging."

"Aigoo..." she laughed some more. "Anyway, I am here to give you something new." I watched her open a black, velvet rectangular box and in it was a white gold necklace that had a similar size of diamond stud like my earrings as a pendant. I looked at her stunned after all the necklace looked expensive. "This is one of my many gifts to you. To the rest of the holidays and birthdays to come, expect more from us. Thank you for coming into our lives, and for giving me such amazing gift," I knew she was referring to her grandson. She gracefully strode towards me and gently placed the necklace around my neck locking it tightly.

As I watched her from the mirror, I saw how she looked at me lovingly. I then imagined my own mother, who I know would be looking at me the same way as Mrs. Kwon is looking at me right now. A tear had fallen from my eyes, but it wasn't from sadness. It was from the happiness I am feeling.

"Thank you omma," I meant every word I told her. "This means so much to me."

"I know how proud your parents would have been Dara," she smiled at me. "You don't have to feel like you're alone, we're here. We are your family."

"Thank you," I can't help but repeat myself.

"You're welcome," Mrs. Kwon nodded. "I'll see you in a bit."

Once she left, another person had walked in making me gasped. "Nurse Yoo!" I can't help but smile. "You made it!"

"I won't miss this for world!" she laughed. "I guess you know why I am here. I don't know why they wanted me to do this, but I'm truly honored to be part of this."

"You're the main reason why I am here today," I told her which earned a nod from her.

"That's right," Nurse Yoo opened the box she was holding. "I meant to get you something borrowed, but what the heck," she pulled a light blue, satin handkerchief. "This is supposedly something borrowed, but I meant to give it to you anyway." She then handed it to me. I can't help but run my finger tips on the material and as I found a corner I felt something, like some sort of stitching. I flipped the handkerchief and saw initials of my name and Jiyong's embroidered beautifully.

"Wow," I looked at her surprised. "This is..."

"I didn't know exactly what to get you," she scratched the back of her neck.

"This is perfect," I smiled at her. "Thank you."

"You're welcome!" she beamed. "I need to go, I forgot the wedding planner is behind my once I got here."

"Oh," I looked at her confused, but before I can say anything else, she was already out the door. I stared at the door waiting for the next person to come in. I knew the tradition of weddings and all that's left was something blue.

The door slowly opened and I smiled seeing him enter with our little man in his arms.

"You're not suppose to see the bride yet," I teased and then looked at my son lovingly. "Hey buddy!"

"Like that's going to happen," he smirked.

"Ma..Mmma," he cooed. I placed a soft kiss on his chubby cheek making him squeal in delight. "Mma! Mma!"

"I was going to go alone, but this little dude won't let me go," Jiyong gently pinched our son's cheek and then placed a kiss as well. "Even appa tried to lure him to candy."

"You know well not to do that Ji," I warned. "Soojungie gets really hyper like his father when we give him sweet."

"I know, I know," he rolled his eyes making me laugh.

"Do you have something for me?" I asked changing the subject. He just nodded as he walked slowly towards me with his son fondling with the collar of his tux. He then grabbed something from his pocket not taking his eyes off of me. "Oh Jiyong," I whispered. "You didn't have to get me another one."

"Ay! You're ruining my moment," he playfully joked making our son giggle. "Of course I needed to get you something. You need something blue right?"

Once he was closer to me, I was able to see the small velvet box in his hand. "Something blue," he murmured softly and gently he placed Soojung down on the floor not bothering to check where he went. Opening the box, a 3 carat sapphire diamond ring peeked along with tiny diamonds surrounding the huge gem.

"Jiyong this is too much," I said in awe. "I mean this..."

"Babe, we can afford another jet, if we wanted to buy one," he laughed. "This is nothing compare to the gifts I'll be showering you."

"You know I don't need gifts, you and Soojungie are the only ones I need," I looked at him in the eyes.

"And that's what I love most about you," he answered. He then took out the ring from the box and at the same time grabbed my right hand. "Ms. Park-Kwon, I know I have proposed to you before," he started. "But on this very day, I'd like to propose again."

He got down on his left knee and looked into my eyes, "I love you with all my heart," he continued his speech. "And I promise you from this day on, you'll have all of me, you've had me from the first day we met and you will always have for the rest of our lives. It'll be you and me and Soojungie," he chuckled and as we both turned we saw our son right in front of the mirror kissing his own reflection.

"Just like his father," I giggled.

"Hey!" he smiled. "I taught him well. ANYWAY. As I was saying, I'd marry you over and over again in all the churches in this world if I could as long as its you and me. Through the bad times and of course to the many good times we'll have, I'll be right there for you...with you. Until we get all wrinkly and old like omma and appa, I'll be right beside you loving you as I have loved you the first time. I may not be able to give you the world, but I'll gladly give you what I can give you... You are my world and to me that's all that matters. Marry me today, tomorrow, and to the rest of our lives. I'll never get tired of proposing to you my love."

"Yes Jiyong," I murmured. "Yes to today, to tomorrow and for the rest of our lives."

"God, I love you baby," he quickly slipped the ring on my right ring finger and stood up cupping my face.

"And I love you more," I whispered. I then closed my eyes feeling his lips on mine. And it's all I need to know how much he loves me, his simple words and touch. I know fro
