This will be done over at Pixlr since it's online. There's no need to download anything so it's on-the-go! You don't need to download and have fancy programs like PS or Gimp to make posters. The tools are basic in Pixlr but it can do wonders once you get the hang of it. ^^
So, without further ado, here's my first ever tutorial. I hope you can understand it and find them helpful. Angst is up first since it's easier. Well, at least in my opinion because there's no cutting. Just blending is needed.
Oh, and my buddy Undertaker will be with us for this tutorial. He will be giving out tips and other stuff, so watch out for him. ^^
Note: If you can't see the image, click on the image for the full size.
Step 1
Once you arrive at Pixlr, click on the 'create a new image' option. For now, the name does not matter so you can leave it as 'Untitled'. Set the width to 500 and the height to 600. These dimensions are in pixels, if you're wondering. Those are the dimensions that I normally use. The transparent option is not needed for this tutorial so you can just uncheck that and hit 'ok'.
Step 2
On the navigation panel, change the zoom in to 100%, if it isn't already, and adjust the visibility of the poster so that you can see every corner.
Step 3
Upload your pictures. You can do this in two ways:
(1) From browsing through your computer if you downloaded the image already; or
(2) just adding in the url of the picture. I prefer adding in urls to save space on my computer, but that depends on you. For this tutorial, I will be using this picture of Hoya and an ulzzang. To do this, hit on 'File' on the very top left corner then select either 'open image' (from your computer) or 'open image url' (just the url will suffice).
For now, I will use the url option.
Step 4
After you have opened all the pictures that you will use, you're already 1/3 done!
Now, let's take Hoya's picture first. Make sure you're on his image and change the zoom (from step 1) to 100%. It's quite big, right? That's a lot better than having really tiny and not HD pictures.
Firstly, let's change the the size of the image since it's too big for our poster. To do this, click on the 'Image' option at the top bar then select 'Image size'. Check the 'Constrain proportions' box as it will make it easier to manage. For this one, I changed the height to '600' while the width changed itself to 900.
Step 5
After Hoya's image has been resized, copy and paste the image onto your 'poster' canvas and move it around till you find a perfect spot for him. Don't worry, you can still move him around later. As what Undertaker said, make sure you're on your 'move tool' to do this, which is the second button on the very first row of the tool box found on the left side.
Ah, to copy Hoya's image, hit 'ctrl
