Kyuhyun was sitting and going through the pictures when he hears a knock on the door. Before he could make the decision to open the door, he heard the door unlock. 

Sungmin is living with someone else? Kyuhyun questioned. His eyes widen when he saw the barista from the cafe he went to earlier today. Something inside Kyuhyun twisted, he couldn't make sense of what, he just felt uneasy knowing that there was someone else by Sungmin's side. Someone other than him. 

“Oh Jin you’re home” Sungmin said, coming from the bathroom. Kyuhyun’s kind was racing, why is he living with another man? Has he moved on? This is considered cheating, isn’t it? But Sungmin said he was willing to start anew? Was he lying? 

“Yep, I’m back.. who’s this?” Sungjin put his coat on the coat hanger, eyeing Kyuhyun up and down. 

“This is...” Sungmin begins 

“Cho Kyuhyun, Sungmin’s husband. Who are you?” Kyuhyun interjected, he had to make his presence and importance to Sungmin known in front of this stranger. Kyuhyun was clearly glaring at the other boy. He doesn’t know why but knowing that Sungmin was with someone other than himself made Kyuhyun really uneasy. 

“This is Sungjin, he’s my brother” Sungmin finally stated. When the words finally registered into Kyuhyun’s head, he looked at Sungmin with wide eyes “Brother? You never said you had a brother” Kyuhyun knotted his eyebrows. Since when did he have a brother? Do I know anything about Sungmin?

“Well, he was in a coma for a long time and I guess I just never got around to it” Sungmin kind of shrugged like it was no big deal

“Why is this the first time I’m hearing about it?” Kyuhyun knit his brows together, Sungmin sighed but didn't answer his question. It's not like we had a bright and sunny relationship that I could've told you. Sungmin pouted. How many things has he kept hidden from me? Hopefully, this is all... Kyuhyun thought 

“Anyways, stay for dinner, you two should get to know each other.” Sungmin ignored Kyuhyun's question, “I’ll make dinner,” 

“Min lets just order out” Sungjin suggested 

“No, it’s healthier to eat homemade food. Plus it won’t take long” Sungmin persisted 

“Hyung I’ll help” Sungjin offered 

“No, you and Kyuhyun talk, you two don’t know each other” Both Kyuhyun and Sungjin looked at Sungmin, mentally begging him not to leave them alone with one another. “Please? For me?” He asked 

They both sighed and moved towards the sofa where they sat silently. “Let me know if you need help,” Sungjin said, to which Sungmin replied with a hum as he went to the kitchen to prepare food for the three of them. He decided the menu for tonight would be hot pot. He needed his brother and Kyuhyun to get along because Sungjin was the only family he had. Even if they don’t completely get along, as long as they make the effort to get along it was okay. 

Sungjin began the conversation. “What do you do for a living?” 

“I’m a student, I’m majoring in computer science, particularly bioinformatics. And you?” 

“I would have completed my first year of college if not for the fact that I was in a coma. I’m currently studying for the GED. Right now I work as a barista to help support my wants, Sungmin is providing for everything else,” 

“Oh, and what do you plan to do in the future,” Kyuhyun asked, a bit more interested in Sungjin. This was his brother in law, he had to make a good impression

“In the future, I want to work as an architect” Sungjin smiled thinking about his dream career.

“That’s a very respectable career, good luck on the GED, if you need help I’m pretty sure there are people I know, who can guide you.” Kyuhyun offered like a good brother in law would.

“Thanks, also, just so we're clear, I don’t like how Sungmin denied you the twins for almost half a year. Even longer if you add his pregnancy. I agreed to help him first but he was so broken when I woke up out of the coma that I didn't have the heart to say no” Sungjin confessed

“I know I’m not really likable in this situation but Sungmin misheard me, he only heard half of what I said. I really do love him, and I never would’ve thought to have kids this early but I don’t hate that they’re here, I’m actually quite fond of them.” Kyuhyun smiled towards the twins 

“That’s good to know then, but what should we do for housing? From what I remember all of you lived in the mansion, what about this place?” Sungjin asked 

“You’re right! I’ll ask Sungmin about the lease for this apartment. I think, if anything, we’ll stay there until we graduate and then move into a house or apartment of our own. I think Siwon has enough rooms to support you as well if you need a place to stay.” Kyuhyun said, making the offer in Siwon's place.

“I’ll be fine on my own, but I would like to stay by Min’s side for a while longer. Maybe until I get a stable job” Sungjin nodded

“That’s okay with me, we’ll talk about it with Siwon”  Kyuhyun smiled

“Jin, Kyu, dinner is ready,” Sungmin said. 

“Hyung, are you going to move back to Seoul?” Sungjin asked. Sungmin paused before answering. 

“Yes Jin, I’ve denied the twins of their father for long enough, plus there are more opportunities for you and me in Seoul,” Sungmin said after thinking 

“I’m okay with moving, but where...” Sungjin began

“I can talk to Siwon about Sungjin staying with us” Kyuhyun added 

“Siwon’s nice so I’m sure he’ll let you stay. Then we can catch up on all the time we missed out” Sungmin said before putting food in his mouth 

They spoke about future plans and the like until dinner was over. 

Sungmin and Kyuhyun were washing the dishes after dinner. Sungjin has gone to bed because his day started really early in the morning. Kyuhyun was more or less watching Sungmin, he didn’t want to get in his way. It was quiet but they were both comfortable

“Can I stay the night?” Kyuhyun asked out of nowhere. Sungmin stopped washing the glass and turned to look at Kyuhyun. 

“I don’t mind but... are you sure?” Sungmin asked
