"Ready to go, hyung?" Junhong asked me excitedly as he tugged on my arm.
"Yes, yes. I'll be there in a bit. Mind starting the car?" I tossed Junhong the keys and stifled a tired yawn. He caught them with one hand and bounced outside towards my car. I slowly dragged my feet behind him.

I stepped outside and spotted Junhong slipping into the passenger's side. In a few moments the engine roared to life, echoing eerily across the parking lot of my apartment. On this particular morning, it was quiet. A pedestrian walked along the sidewalk here and there but, for the most part, it was silent. Almost comforting. Unfortunately, it didn't help my fatigue lessen. In fact, it probably only grew.

I stifled another yawn as I opened the car door and buckled my seatbelt. "Buckle up. The last thing we need is for your tiny frame to go sailing through my windshield," I teased.

What I hadn't been expecting was the possibility of that becoming very real.
