Storyline

The teen drama depicts the struggles and dilemmas that modern-day Korean youth face, such as bullying, student suisides, school violence, deteriorating teacher-student relations, private tutoring and other real-life high school issues, all within the confines of one small classroom at Seung Ri High School. The drama has Lee Jong-suk, Kim Woo-bin, Choi Daniel and Jang Nara as lead roles.

Personal Opinion

The drama shows, in a very realistic way, how school is in Korea. But as for me, I mostly focused on the story between Ko Namsoon and Park Heungsoo, who shared a past together. Their story may be confusing in the beginning, but as you get further into the drama, you'll understand. 

In the past, Ko Namsoon and Park Heungsoo were the best friends, who always hang out together. They were a part of a gang with Ko Namsoon as the topdog (gang leader). As Heungsoo wanted to leave the gang, to follow his dreams of becomming a soccer player, gang rules said that, he had to be beaten up before he left. As result, Heungsoo got his leg broken by Namsoon and would never be able to play soccer again. While laying in the hospital, he saw Namsoon leave instead of staying by his side. 

3 years later, Heungsoo tranfers to Seungri High School, the school Namsoon is attempting, and the drama between those two starts, as Heungsoo is mad at Namsoon and wont have anything to do with him.

My favorite part of the whole drama is in episode 10, after Namsoon get beaten up, him and Heungsoo finally talk things through and get friends again. It's a really touching scene were both guys shed a tear, telling why they did as they did. Namsoon is sorry for what he did in the past and and Heungsoo tells him, since he couldn't forfill his dream of becoming a soccer player, then at least Namsoon should have stayed by his side, since he was the only one he had left. The scene really touched me.

I don't dislike any scene in this drama, but the scene that is the saddest is when Kim Minki almost comitted suiside because of his stressful life.
