I was requested to write this story on my tumblr. I feel that he would either for a dumb plan he had for you, if he was busy, or if something important happened. He's such an innocent and happy person, I don't think he would ditch you to hurt your feelings. I think he would want his girlfriend to be as happy as he is at all times.
