39. Another Perspective of the Past

My HatefulBoyfriend

Wooyoung also looked shocked to see Yonghwa there as he didn't expect it. "Jung Yonghwa, what are you doing here?" He asked when Yonghwa approached them. "You don't live around here, don't you?"

Yonghwa seemed suspicious and stuttered as he explained. "I was just passing by, I have business with my friend around here." He obviously looked lying as he couldn't stay still and kept touching his nose and hair.

"Oh, really?" Wooyoung raised one of his eyebrows, staring at Yonghwa from head to toe in doubt.

Yonghwa quickly asked to change the topic but he was also curious of the reason of why he initially decided to turn around. "But, Wooyoung... I think I heard a girl's scream. That's why, I turned..." He looked at Wooyoung in curiosity and frowned as he felt strange.

Yonghwa's expression gave Wooyoung a big hint to what was on his minds. Wooyoung quickly explained, "No, no, no! It's not my voice! It's hers!"

Taeyeon finally came out from hiding behind Wooyoung as she eventually managed to grasp the real situation. Yonghwa seemed quite surprised that there was someone else with Wooyoung. Before he could greet her, Taeyeon suddenly exclaimed as she observed him from head to toe just like how Wooyoung did. "You! You're the one stalking Seohyun!" She finally could accuse him after confirming it was the exact garment worn by the stalker that she just followed.

Before Yonghwa could respond to the accusation, Wooyoung interrupted first, "So, he's the one you stalk?" He widened his eyes in shock staring at her.

"I wasn't stalking him!" Taeyeon denied Wooyoung's words as she frowned. "Anyways, you're the one that I want to talk with." She turned back towards Yonghwa. "Why did you stalk her?!" She raised her voice and gave him a firm look. She obviously looked upset and angry at him though she couldn't help but hoping that he would have reasonable explanation. She didn't want the most perfect candidate for Seohyun's partner would end up disappointing her.

"It's not what you guys are thinking... actually, I... I can explain about this."

Wooyoung was the one left hanging, not knowing the real situation. "I'm sorry for disturbing..." He interrupted nicely. "Can any of you explain to me?" He was aware Taeyeon's angry expression still didn't leave her face even she was facing him like she was angry too at him for interrupting, showing how really angry she was. He playfully added. "Who knows, maybe I can help. As a third party, I can give reasonable opinion on the matter you're talking about. It will easier to determine who's the right one, right?"

"Jang Wooyoung, he's clearly wrong! What are you talking about?!" As a return, Wooyoung got hit by Taeyeon which just made Yonghwa smiled.

Wooyoung looked confused."Aren't you stalking him too?"

"You...! Yah! I followed him, not stalking!" Taeyeon got angrier but this time it was because of Wooyoung.

Yonghwa quickly cut them off before they really argued. "Alright, alright, I think it's really my fault."

Taeyeon finally calmed down. "It's good that you acknowledged it." She continued explaining to the clueless Wooyoung. "First, Seohyun told us that she was concerned so much lately because she felt like she had been watched and of course the fact that there are many crimes occur lately in this neighbour just made she felt worse. Second, I thought that we need to do something about this before it's too late. Third, I just decided to check out the surrounding, thinking that what Seohyun said may not be just her own feelings, someone might really stalk her. Fourth, I did see someone suspicious and I followed him for a while and it turned out to be you!" She pointed to Yonghwa firmly.

"But, that's really stalking." Wooyoung interrupted referring to Taeyeon's action towards Yonghwa which had been insisted by Taeyeon as just 'following'.

"Yah, that's not my point!" She sighed after she told the summary of Seohyun's incident, that's the only point became significant in his eyes. However, she still insisted. "And, I said I'm not stalking! Stalking if we want to follow someone with a bad intention. And, I just want to find out the truth!"

"Then, I think it same goes to Yonghwa, he might have a reason behind it." He looked at Yonghwa and asked, "Right?"

It took some time for Yonghwa to reply as he was too focused on the argument between Taeyeon and Wooyoung instead. "Yes, yes." He nodded. Even though he didn't know Wooyoung and Taeyeon closely but he realized and could observe clearly that they both had gotten closer so much with each other. Before, Taeyeon was quite reserved and calm person but the presence of Wooyoung in her life really like a happy virus. She had became so goofy and cheerful as she played along with Wooyoung's joke and bickering.

"So, let's hear your explanation." Taeyeon gave a chance.

Yonghwa started explaining nicely, "Like you just said, there were a lot of crimes lately. So, I was so worried that she walked alone to her house after you guys separated once you reach your house. That's why, I decided to keep my eyes on her, just to ensure that she reaches home safely."

"It's that all? You don't have other intention?" Taeyeon still couldn't help but feeling doubtful, just to be careful so that she won't hurt Seohyun if she blindly trusted him.

"Yes, I swear!" Yonghwa lifted his hand up in the air.

"But, still... It's not the right way to protect her like this. She has been worried so much over this matter."

Yonghwa defended, "Then, what should I do? She still wasn't willing to forgive me. She kept avoiding me."

"That's not the reason she avoided you. I think she's no longer mad at you. She just..." Luckily, Taeyeon managed to stop her words in control. She froze like she had committed something wrong. She almost spilt the bean. She could sense that Yonghwa might have same feelings towards Seohyun but she shouldn't expose Seohyun's feelings like this. Seohyun just started experiencing her first love and it would be shameful thing for her feelings to be known by the guy first.

"What?" Yonghwa and Wooyoung both stared at her waiting her to finish her words.

"Well... she... she... I think it might be because she is not that open to strangers and tend to get uncomfortable around guys, so... she... she might be shy. You should put more efforts to approach her first."

"It's really like that?" Yonghwa asked, looking unsure. He didn't have problem to approach Seohyun first but he also became sad and discouraged whenever she avoided him.

Wooyoung asked Taeyeon, "Why are you stuttering?" However, he just got to receive a death glare as a reply for him to keep silent. He suddenly exclaimed. "Jung Yonghwa, do you like Seohyun?"

"Wh... what?!" Yonghwa was taken aback by Wooyoung's direct question. Taeyeon also looked at Yonghwa attentively, waiting for his answer.

"Well, you even personally followed her everyday to ensure she reached home safely."

"Actually... I... I am just concerned. There are many crimes occurring lately and she was walking alone."

Wooyoung was still unsatisfied with his answer, continued asking. "Then, would you do the same for other girls too?" Yonghwa couldn't find any excuse. "Well, you can't answer, isn't it? You know what? Let me advise you something. Just admit it. Be like a man, confidently acknowledge your feelings if you did like a girl."

Yonghwa bit his lips before hesitantly nodded. "I think so."

"Yeah!!!" Taeyeon jumped out of happiness. She seemed the happiest person to find out that fact.

"Taeyeon-ah, why are you so happy like you are the one received confession from a guy?"

She just realized that it was quite strange to be this happy. Yonghwa should have put efforts by himself to find out Seohyun's feelings. "Well... it's just... liking someone is a nice thing and I should be happy for him, isn't it?" She looked at both Yonghwa and Wooyoung while blinking her eyes faster, hoping they would not be suspicious with her quite nonsense excuse.

"Not yet. We should help him too."

"Ah, that's right..." Taeyeon pretended to agree with Wooyoung.

"Can I request something?" Yonghwa suddenly changed the topic with his question. "Can you help me by not telling that I was the one who follow her? I think she will become angrier if she found out from someone else. So, can you let me tell her by myself?"

"Yes, sure. But, don't delay it too long." Taeyeon warned. "You know, how worried she felt."

"Yes, of course!" Yonghwa replied enthusiastically. "Before I go, let me return your advice..." He approached closer to Wooyoung and whispered to him. "Like a man, you should confess your feelings too."

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Wooyoung whispered back.

Yonghwa pointed towards Taeyeon. "She changed a lot because of you of course in a good way."

Taeyeon was left confused with Wooyoung and Yonghwa whispering to each other. She somehow sensed that it must be involved her. "Did you guys talk behind my back?"

Wooyoung got startled and quickly sent Yonghwa off before he exposed something. "You must be busy, right? You should quickly go."

Yonghwa walked away, leaving with a deep-meaning smile.

"What are you guys talking about?!" She hit Wooyoung's arm out of frustration.

"Ouch!" He exclaimed while rubbing his arm. "Nothing much, just guys' talk, you shouldn't be concerned much."

"Geez, you guys are like girls, so secretive!" They turned back walking towards Taeyeon's house. "Anyways, how come you are here?"

"Ah, that's right! I left it in front of your house!" He exclaimed while clapping his hand. She just looked at him with questioned face.

--

After getting into Taeyeon's house, Wooyoung immediately put the plastic containing a box on the table in the kitchen. She could guess that it was food.

"Thanks. I was just thinking to buy food outside since I felt quite lazy to cook myself." Taeyeon took a seat happily as she looked forward what kind of meal she would have today especially her stomach already grumbled.

"Ah~" He sighed while shaking his head proudly. "How I can always receive your telepathy perfectly?" She let out her ahjumma laugh with his nonsense joke. "Taaddaaa!!" He finally opened the box, revealing their meal.

"Huh? Cake?" As expected, Taeyeon was taken aback. "Why? Suddenly..."

Wooyoung pouted lips, being upset that her reaction was opposite to what he expected. "Don't you like? Alright, I'll buy something else for you."

He was about to close the cover but got stopped by Taeyeon. "No, no, I like it. It's just I didn't expect it. Is there any reason behind this? Usually, people bought cake to celebrate something."

He smiled. "Nothing. I just feel like having some." Seeing Taeyeon was still not convinced, he elaborated, "Besides, eating sweet will make you happy when you're feeling down. So, why not?"

"Then, there's something made you down?"

He was taken aback with her unexpected question. He hesitantly replied, "Well... not necessarily... I mean, if we go by that logic, eating sweet when you are already in a good mood would just make you feel better, I suppose?" He realized that he sounded strange but he hoped Taeyeon didn't dig deeper about that matter.

"Might be." She just chuckled as she herself wasn't sure if that was making any sense.

"In fact, I want my best friend to be always happy too!" He said enthusiastically, referring to Taeyeon.

"I think I'll gain more weight instead!"

"Don't worry, I won't leave you no matter your appearance, Kim Taeyeon-sshi!" He patted her head like a reliable person.

"Why?"

"Because you're the only girl that I love!" He unconsciously confessed his love. He was caught off guard. There was a moment of silence as both of them didn't know how to respond especially Taeyeon. He awkwardly added. "Of course as a friend!" He put his hand on Taeyeon's shoulder while pretending like nothing happened. "Why did you look so nervous?"

She let out a fake chuckle. "Who won't be like that when you're suddenly spouting nonsense?" She hit his arm gently.

"Ah!" He out of nowhere exclaimed which quite surprised her. "I got a signal." He added while holding onto his tummy.

"Alright." She smiled in relief, understanding immediately his hint.

He got up and headed to the toilet. She continued enjoying the cake. Wooyoung's cell phone on the table suddenly rang and it was just a message. She didn't intend to check others' cell phone, she knew if it was in her place, she would also dislike it. However, she accidentally peeked and saw it was from Tiffany and managed to saw a part of message content when it was previewed on the notification.

"Happy Birthday?" She read the preview of the message. She just figured it out, the reason behind the cake and why she could sense something was bothering his minds or making him down and he acted strangely. This explained everything.

-----

Minho was standing in front of a big villa. He stared at it as he sighed silently. For him, it felt familiar but at the same time, he felt distanced. This villa reminded him both good and bad memories. He tried his best to store only good memories though he couldn't deny that indeed bad memories were stuck stronger in his brain. He even got reminded of them constantly in his nightmare.

Yuri was right. He had to make initiative by himself to change this situation. After for a while immersing in his thought, he finally took a step and pressed the bell. He couldn't even remember when the last time he came. He did feel nervous.

An old lady maid opened the door and greeted Minho happily or precisely, she looked more surprised to see Minho. "Young master!"

He gave a small smile. He recognized that lady despite she had aged a lot, she was around his mother's age. He remembered that the only person who treated him nicely was her besides his mother. "Hi, auntie." He slightly bowed down to give her a hug that gave him feelings like a mother's hug.

She even shed tears to see Minho personally came home after such a long time. Honestly, she was happy that Minho became a singer, she would be able to know how he was doing by monitoring him on TV. "It has been long." She observed Minho attentively. "You have grown up well and lately, you look so much better." She could see that Minho had changed a lot. He’s no longer a dull, quiet and depressed person.

"Yuri..." He just said directly the person who meant so much to him. He was sure the old lady knew about her. He chuckled in shyness.

"Your girlfriend? Even on TV, I could see how nice she is. Don't worry, I really can evaluate people well. You didn't choose the wrong person."

Minho gave a thankful smile. "She really helped me a lot to overcome this."

"It would be nice if you bring her home. I would like to know her better." Minho nodded. "Well, enough with our talk... you come home this time must be because of bigger reason, isn't it?"

"Yes." Minho nodded hesitantly after taking a deep breath.

"Your father is in the living room. Good luck!" She patted his shoulder as a form of encouragement.

Minho headed to the living room. He could see from behind an old man was sitting on the sofa while watching news on the TV. That old man's hair wasn't thick like it used to be. Minho could see that his father also had aged a lot and he thought the loneliness might play the accelerating factor in that aging process. He didn't know how to feel yet. His feelings were mixed. A part of him felt pitied and missed the warmth from a family member and yet another part of him still couldn't forget the pain and wound from the past. Today, he came with the hope that at least, the gap with his father could be narrower to be able to slowly heal the pain.

Mr. Choi dropped his spectacles accidentally. He was about to bow down to take it but stopped when there was another hand faster than his. He looked up and was very surprised to see his son.

"I'm home." Minho said shortly while handing his father the spectacles.

Both of them didn't show any sign of smile on their face but it wasn't strange. The fact that Minho talked to his father after such a long time was already considered miraculous. It might take some time for them to warm up to each other. Even it might be so slow, but it will happen one day if both parties put effort to fix their relationship.

"I'm happy to see you." His father replied softly that Minho could already spot the tears in his eyes.

"Dad, Let bygones be bygones. We should focus on the present instead."

"Thank you, my son." He felt so pleased after not having heard a long time someone calling him dad.

Minho felt quite awkward as he didn't know how to respond and didn’t even get to be used to it. He changed the topic. "Auntie asked me to say that the dinner is ready."

"Are you going to stay for a dinner?"

"Y... yes..." He awkwardly nodded which caused a small smile finally appeared on his father's face.

The old lady maid had been observing them silently, was very pleased to see such improvement in their relationship. She shed tears of happiness that she eventually was able to witness this situation which she never imagined could happen some day.

As expected, they both didn't talk much during dinner. They both couldn't find any topic to discuss. However, it's predictable since the last time, they had dinner together was when Mrs. Choi was still alive. A lot of years had passed since then. They slowly talked with the help by the old lady maid.

After finishing dinner, they sat in the living room, having desert. Minho would like to ask something but he couldn't find suitable words to start.

Mr. Choi quickly realized that something bothering Minho's minds. He was sure there were a lot of things they had to talk since they hadn't have deep conversation at all after Mrs. Choi's death. He was ready to open up everything happened that night. "If you're curious about something, just ask."

Minho was quite taken aback but he hesitantly asked, "Why did you retire immediately after that night? I mean, after mom died... It's because of that particular reason or... there's something else?"

Mr. Choi was just silent as he bowed her head, staring at the floor blankly. It was difficult for him to talk openly about that past which he had always tried best to bury it deeply in his heart.

Minho continued, "If I remember correctly... on that night, after you came back to the hospital... I initially thought that you already found out about mom's death because you looked so down and gloomy. Or, actually, something else happened?"

Mr. Choi took a deep breath before started explaining everything as he recalled. "If you remember, I left the hospital after getting call about the whereabouts of the criminal, right?" Minho nodded. "I did carry that mission and... as I ran after the suspect near the road, there was a car passing by. I didn't focus much on it as catching that suspect was the only thing in my minds. As I thought I won't be able to catch him, I decided to shoot and exactly on that time, the bullet hit the driver of that car when he suddenly came between the suspect and me."

Minho's jaw dropped out of shock. "Then, you killed him?!"

Mr. Choi lost words to defend because it was indeed the truth. "But, it wasn't my intention. I thought he was just passing by, I thought he won't come out from the car. He immediately died, I couldn't do anything! And, what makes it worse, I also caused the death of his wife."

"Dad, what are you talking about?!" Minho couldn't believe what he just heard. He even shed tears unconsciously. He didn't know why but it was so painful.

Mr. Choi elaborated further even though he himself felt the pain. "When his wife found out what happened to her husband, she couldn't control her feelings and we struggled while I tried to calm her down but I didn't realize... suddenly, I heard the bullet was shot and it hit her. I think the bullet came from the suspect. It was dark and I couldn't see properly but it wasn't from my gun because I already let it go. Nevertheless, she did die because of me. She was still alive at that moment but eventually died in the emergency room."

Minho took a deep breath trying to calm himself down. The truth that he just found out felt like a strong blow. It's quite difficult for him to accept and he couldn't imagine how much worse it would be in his father's place. He started to understand a little his father. What his father did was very cruel but he did it unintentionally, and that made it hard to determine who was the one to be blamed.

"Then, that's why you retired earlier that you're supposed to?"

Mr. Choi nodded. "That mistake traumatized me. I don't think I can keep working as a police officer like nothing happened. Of course until now, that guilt still haunts me."

"How about that family? I meant, don't they have children?"

"Actually, their son was with them on that night. I found him unconscious in their car may be due to shock. He disappeared after waking up in the hospital. I tried to find him but there was no clue until now."

Minho stared at his father silently. He didn't know that his father suffered as much as him after Mrs. Choi died. His father lost his wife, his job and even his son because Minho didn't talk and respect him like a father after that as he also blamed his father for the death of Mrs. Choi. On top of that, two persons died because of him. He wondered how his father overcame it especially he lacked of support and encouragement from surrounding.

He slowly drew his body closer to Mr. Choi and gave him a hug. Mr. Choi was very surprised at first but was thankful later that he finally got back his son. He was glad that he still got chance to fix the relationship with the only family member he got left.

Even during weekdays, the shopping complex always crowded with people especially youngsters who immediately filled this place after the school ended. Wooyoung and Taeyeon could be spotted among them.

Like a confused puppy, Wooyoung just followed Taeyeon who seemed the only one enthusiastic about going shopping. He didn't know what was the purpose of going here when they were just enjoying the cake at her house before.

"Taeyeon-ah, why did you suddenly want to go shopping?"

Taeyeon just grinned, simply answering. "Just because I feel like one."

Wooyoung looked quite exhausted as they had been in the shopping complex for more than 2 hours. He took a look at his watch. "But, it's already night. We had gone to a lot of stores but you didn't buy anything!" He looked at her empty hands, emphasizing his point.

Taeyeon pouted her lips cutely. "There's nothing eye-cathing." Actually, after finding out it was Wooyoung's birthday, she intent to buy gift for him but wanted to make a surprise by acting unaware about his birthday. She thought it was better to be more direct in order to find the gift that he would genuinely like. "Then, is there anything you like or you want to buy?"

"Huh?!" He raised one of his eyebrows. "Aren't you the one so eager to go shopping?"

Taeyeon tried to make excuse, still trying to hide the fact that she already knew about his birthday. "I know~ Well, since nothing interests me, so, maybe you should be the one to buy. It's a waste since we are already here, we shouldn't leave with empty hands."

"I don't need anything. Why should I spend?"

"Geez, so stingy!" She hit his arm gently. "You come from rich family but you're so mature." She didn't expect that such response from a heir of a company. He was Tiffany's cousin, even she didn't personally know how rich his family was but she could estimate.

"Of course, I'm different and unique from other guys!" He raised his eyebrows while smiling proudly.

"Ceh!" Taeyeon chuckled. "I'm just joking. Let me treat you, just say what you want but not too expensive."

"Oh, really?" His eyes sparkled. He folded his arms. "Hm... what should I buy?" Taeyeon waited while smiling happily. After a moment, he finally said, "Then, buy me an ice cream."

Taeyeon's smile completely disappeared from her face. "Yah! Are you joking right now?!" She hit him once again but this time, it was a strong one.

"Ah, why~?" He made a puppy face and rubbed at the part he got hit, not knowing of his mistake. "I just wanted to eat ice cream. Besides, I don't have anything in minds."

Taeyeon seemed frustrated. "I should make exception. No food or drink. It should be something memorable, ok?"

"Don't you say I can ask for anything?"

Taeyeon sighed. "It's my gift for you. You should choose something memorable, right? Not just something that disappears once you eat. Something that reminds you of me."

"Woah! It sounds so special!" Wooyoung exaggerated his reaction. He looked around. "I don't know..."

Taeyeon realized that they were standing in front of jewellery store. "Then, do you want to have a look inside?"

"Here? Are you sure?" He asked, confirming if Taeyeon indeed wanted to spend that much for him. He thought it would be more than enough to buy simple gift.

"If it is affordable, why not?" Taeyeon replied shortly. She was about to enter that store but got grabbed by Wooyoung.

"Hang on! I think it's strange for a girl to buy jewels for a guy!"

"You're thinking too much!" She pinched his cheek. "First, let's just look around. If there's something you like, just tell me. Let's go!" Taeyeon enthusiastically entered the store first, leaving Wooyoung being confused behind.

Taeyeon looked at the necklace in the cover glass. It was so pretty but she immediately reminded herself that she came to buy the present for Wooyoung. She looked at him in case he might like something. There was indeed something catching his eyes and she approached him to find out that he was looking at the ring on the banner.

"Do you like that ring? It's pretty too for me."

"Yes but I still think you shouldn't..." He still felt guilty and it was unnecessary for letting her buy the ring.

She cut him off, not giving a chance for him to refuse the gift. She just realized on the banner. "It's 50% discount too! Perfect!" She asked the employee. "Miss, can I see this ring?" She pointed to the banner.

"Yes, sure."

Wooyoung and Taeyeon came closer to see the ring but were so shocked to see two rings, which one of them looked bigger, obviously the employee took out couple rings, one for girl and one for guy.

Taeyeon awkwardly said. "Ac... actually, we just want to see a ring and it's for him."

The employee explained politely. "In the banner, you might see a ring but actually, if you read carefully, it did state there, it is couple ring." She smiled while giving compliment. "You two look good together. You must be a couple, right? Why don't you get couple ring instead of buying ring for him? I think it will be more memorable and special."

Wooyoung and Taeyeon looked at each other as they both got speechless.

-----

It was already almost midnight, Minho just arrived at 2SG villa. From his expression alone, everyone could see how ease and happy he was. There was no gloom or depression burden on him like before. Indeed, the best way to be recovered from the hurtful past was to forgive and move on.

He never felt this way, how nice and refreshing life was without hating or anger on anyone. He didn't realize that Yuri was observing him silently from behind. She slowly approached him and gave him a tight back-hug.

Minho was so startled by it as Yuri didn't make any noise at all. Yuri laughed happily which gave him a clue who she was. "Yuri-yah, you really shocked me!" However, later, he smiled widely.

"I'm sorry~" She let him go and faced him.

"At first, I thought it was my sasaeng fan!"

She just grinned apologetically. "Anyways, where are you coming from? I asked Nickhun, he said you didn't have any schedule." Minho gave a gentle and sweet stare to her. Yuri immediately changed her expression once she realized he might understand differently. "I... I'm asking not because I'm jealous... I'm... I'm just worried... since no one knew where you're going. But... if you don't want to tell, never mind."

She was about to go to her villa out of embarrassment but of course, Minho grabbed her arm. "Yuri-yah, I don't say anything yet. Why are you explaining so much?" He chuckled as she went ahead herself because she tried to cover up her jealousy though she just made it more obvious.

"But, I..." She still tried to defend herself but of course, no excuse came across her mind.

"Yes?" He smirked, waiting for her to continue.

She finally gave up. "Aish! You're really bad guy!" She hit his arm as she started blushing. "Who won't be worried when I knew how happy you are even I just saw your back?"

"Alright, I will tell you." He held both of her hands, facing her. "I went to see my father." She was shocked, not expecting it at all. She remembered last time, how Minho asked her to accompany him when one day, he decided to see his father. He explained further. "I thought it would better to talk personally first with my father, rather than relying on others, so we could be able to warm up to each other completely. This past was actually painful for both of us and I thought, in the presence of other people, we might not reveal our true feelings or secret. I'm not considering you as an outsider but it's my family's problem and I..."

Yuri carefully interrupted as she quickly got his real intention, he tried hard not to hurt her. "It's fine. I understand completely." She showed a genuine smile. "In fact, I agreed 100% with your thought. I just wanted to help you when I offered to accompany you last time." Minho nodded with a thankful smile. "So, how was it? It went well, right? I can see how happy you are now." She was so happy for him. He did look so much better now.

Minho nodded. "We talked everything what happened the night when my mother died. You're right. He suffered much more than what I expected. He almost lost everything including me. He hid the secret that had been haunting his whole life that I never knew until now." He unconsciously shed tears.

"Sshh! It's fine." Yuri went into his embrace and wrapped her arms around his back. "Just forget the past and move on, ok? Since you guys understand each other already, just focus on treating and appreciating him well, alright?"

Minho smiled widely. Before this, he grew up with the thought that he had never been lucky. He never thought that his existence in this world was meaningful and significant to others especially after his mother's death. There was no one care about him except for his appearance and fame. Yuri's presence in his life had been a blessing that he could never ask for more. He never appreciate and enjoy being alive as much as he felt now. She felt like an angel who turned him from dull hard stone to a person who can breathe completely, who knew the real meaning of live.

"Thank you so much, my angel." He said softly while her hair.

She jumped out from his embrace out of shock. "What did you just call me?!" She asked in disbelief.

"Angel." He emphasized while smiling sheepishly. Yuri's eyes went bigger. "Hang on." He enthusiastically took out his cell phone from the pocket and showed it to her. "See! I even saved your number in my contact as My Angel!" He emphasized once again.

"Yah, are you crazy?!" She sounded happy and embarrassed instead of being angry.

"Why? Do you dislike it?" He seemed upset.

"It's not that I don't like it but..." She couldn't stop smiling widely, showing exactly how she felt. "Anyways, don't call me like that in front of people, ok? When we are alone like this, it's fine."

"Yes~ My angel!" He saluted.

"Argh! My fingers even curled up!" She cringed at the nickname's cheeziness and later, they both laughed.

Chapter 41: Oh my god, it's already 3 years since your last update. It seems like everyone is leaving AFF now, because I can feel the emptiness here, my old AFF friends don't active anymore, and I don't go to AFF so often either. Today I just randomly clicked in AFF and I saw your update. Your story is still one of my favorite story ever, and I'm glad that you're not gonna drop it. I just wanna comment to cheer you up, and to let you know that I'll still be here and reading your story. Fighting! <3
