Sehun choked on his drink and Luhan dropped his fork. You stared at Minhee for a while, trying to let what she said sink in. You had always liked Sehun, but you didn’t know that the moment where he would like you would come, but it was Minhee who was talking and maybe she was lying.

You laughed awkwardly and said, “you’re really funny, Minhee.” She laughed too and shook her head. “I wasn’t joking Sunmi. Right, Sehun, Luhan?” She looked at the both guys and none of them looked at you. Wait.

“Luhan? You knew about this too?” you asked, somehow offended that he kept it from you. But why did he keep it a secret and not tell you?

Luhan on the other hand was quiet; too quiet that it was scary. He felt like his heart was being ripped slowly. He knew Sehun would ask you to be his girlfriend but not that soon. Worse, it caught the both of them off guard since it was Minhee who dropped the bomb.

“Well… I knew about it. But it’s not for me to tell you about it,” Luhan replied, making it sound like he didn’t care at all about you or what was about to happen or could happen.

He was about to confess his love for you, but Minhee was such a great and his confession was set aside. It was eating him alive. He felt like bursting and he couldn’t breathe properly.

*This isn’t supposed to be happening.* He shut his eyes for a few seconds and opened it so he would look like he was okay.

Sehun fidgeted nervously in his seat and looked at Luhan, who just lifelessly looked at him. Deep inside Sehun, he was waiting for Luhan to argue with Minhee and say he wouldn’t let Sehun ask you to be his girlfriend because he loved you. Sadly, that didn’t happen.

“I… I know this might seem sudden to you Sunmi, but… but I have liked you for a long time now.” He rubbed the back of his head shyly and decided to pour all his feelings in his confession. “Ever since you signed the contract with Luhan, I set my eyes on you because I was worried he would treat you badly. At first it was just because I care for you, but the more I look at you, the more I fall for you. I wasn’t supposed to go with this confession at first thinking Luhan would stop me, but he just let me go with it.”

He paused for a while and you looked at Luhan with disappointment. You wanted to walk out and leave them to have some time alone, but the look in Sehun’s eyes was pleading you to give him an answer.

He was the guy that Luhan never was. He treated you the way a husband should during the first couple of months you were with Luhan. You liked him because –

“Sunmi, we are all waiting for your answer,” Minhee butted in and Sehun came to defend you. “Don’t pressure her. Let’s give her time to think about it.”

“That doesn’t make sense. Her answer would always be the same since she likes you.” She threw you a playful wink that you wanted to puke in disgust. You glanced at Sehun and he was looking at you with expectant eyes.

You sighed slightly and smiled before looking at Sehun. You just nodded at him and smiled shyly. Sehun’s eyes widened and his heart beat went faster than normal. “You… You’re going to date me? Really?” You laughed at his expression and nodded again.

He got up from his seat and the three of you were startled. He ran to your side and hugged you while you stoned at the sudden contact.

“Cheers to the new couple!” Minhee raised her glass and the four of you clinked your glasses reluctantly.

The dinner ended and Minhee was clinging to Luhan again like there was no tomorrow while you were busy talking to Sehun.
