Protective
My Contract MarriageYou were still crying and fearing for your safety. You didn’t even care who was hugging you. Luhan’s heart was beating faster and louder than usual.
After a few more minutes, which seemed like forever to the guys, Luhan pulled you inside the car. He noticed your swollen eyes and tired looking face, so he put your head on his shoulder while you dozed off to sleep. Ever since he started hugging you, his heart couldn’t go back to its normal beating rate. It was as if he ran a marathon.

You arrived back at the mansion, but you were still sleeping, so Luhan decided to take the matters by himself. He carried you bridal style to your room and the maids were smiling and taking pictures at the sweet sight. He mentally cursed and rolled his eyes. Even if that was the case, he still couldn’t calm down his heart.
Instead of bringing you to your room, he decided to bring you to his room so that he will know once you wake up. He just wanted to make sure you were okay, even though he told himself he should bother since you were still alive.
The guy who almost hit you was annoying him. For goodness’ sake, you were almost killed by the speed of the car was going. As much as he loved to annoy you, he didn’t want you dead.
You stirred a little from your sleep and Luhan saw your little movement. He stiffened a bit, not knowing what to do. He slowly went up to check on you and sat on the bed with his back facing you, but his head towards you.
“You’re awake,” he said as he watched you rise up.
“Why am I in your room?” you asked him and yawned a little while squinting your eyes. Suddenly, you stopped breathing for a second. “Did you try to do anything funny while I was sleeping?” You glared at him and Luhan’s lips tugged into a small smile. He should have known that that was what you would think because of his many, failed attempts last time. He wasn’t in the mood to tease you, especially after what just happened.
“You’re like a little girl, didn’t you know that?” he asked out of a sudden.
You glared at him and put your hands across your chest. “I’m waiting for an answer.”
“Oh that…” He didn’t know why he brought you to his room, too. He didn’t know why he used the ‘so he will know once you wake up’ excuse.
Thinking about it in just a matter of seconds, he actually realized that he just wanted you near him. Although you would be safe in your room, he still wanted you to be somewhere where he could keep an eye on you.
“I was lazy to put you in your room and I needed to do some things on my laptop,” he said and looked calm while spouting a lame excuse.
You rolled your eyes at him and got up. “Thank you anyway,” you said before leaving his room.
Luhan sighed in relief that you didn’t ask anything further more. His peace was cut off when someone knocked on his door. “What is it?”
His door was opened and he saw his parents walking towards him.
“We heard what happened. Is she okay?” Luhan’s dad asked, looking really worried.
“Actually this isn’t her room. Her room is on the other side. Why don’t you just-” he was saying mockingly when he got a smack on the head from his mom. “Mom!”
“You brat. We were just worried. We actually checked on her already and she kept saying she’s fine, but I’m telling you, you need to keep her in your sight. You are not allowed to go anywhere without her and so is she,” Luhan’s mom said in a strict and serious tone.
