"being a fan is like a second job: you dedicate endless amounts of time obsessing over miniscule details like their hairstyles or hand gestures, you spend money that you don't even have for merchandise that will be long forgotten after five— if you're lucky, ten— years, and you even lose a bit of yourself in the middle of it because the fandom just you in and will never spit you out, but despite all of this you can't help but be passionate over it and find yourself smiling at the end of a long day's worth of work.

this is because of the fact that being a fan means that you're in a thing called a fandom, something sort of like a second family; they're there with you through thick and thin, standing beside you for the same cause: a mutual love for the people that make you happy. they'll be there awaiting the release for the newest batch of teaser photos to the fancams of performances that you couldn't be there for; they're there to talk to you about things you love (and hate) about your bias and won't let you be the only one crying over an interaction of your otp.

although fans come from many different shapes, sizes and backgrounds the fact that there's a common bond that unites them all is soemthing... fascinating and wonderful that should always be celebrated when it comes to music.

because let's be real, musicians are nothing without their muses— their fans— and likewise for the fans that love their artists."
