Mrs. Son was an accomplished assassin and when she eventually died, the occupation was passed onto her daughter. Son Ga-in didn’t shed a tear at her mother’s death. Assassins were taught to be cold and calculating. Highly skilled and incredibly dangerous, Ga-in was a renegade who killed easily and effectively… until she gets caught by the government and offered a surprising choice: Work for the secretive “Regulated Sector”… or be executed.
Taemin was a thief, pure and simple. But the things he stole single-handedly… were close to impossible for a single person to accomplish alone. And it didn't hurt that he had an incredible knack for the "Houdini Talents." Which was basically an nickname for the set of skills that allowed people to escape out of just about everything. Then one day, out of the blue, he’s kidnapped and brought into government hands and is offered a choice: Work for the merciless “Regulated Sector”… or be executed.
Ailee is the boss. She’s appointed to be the head captain of the first experimental unit in the newly established Regulated Sector. She knows how to catch and punish all types of criminals… but does she know how to lead and cooperate with them?
Foreword
The Regulated Sector: A new section of the Protective Services that may or may not work out but… desperate times calls for desperate measures. A mysterious threat is spreading throughout the country, and nothing seems to be able to stop it.
The Regulated Sector’s purpose is to capture criminals who possess impressive and much-needed skills. However, instead of executing them, there’s a new offer in the mix. These villains have the choice to work and train in a team. The team, when deemed fit and ready, will then be sent out to accomplish undercover government tasks. Everything would be on a need to know basis, so there would be no major risk to the security of the country. Using the criminals as double agents would allow inside access to the dangerous underground world, and if the team were to betray the country or if something were to go wrong… all ties would be cut and the team would disappear. As good as dead.
