Chapter 27

LETTER

Sulli is drained…but her day isn’t over yet. She needs to settle another thing.

She went to the mansion and was lead to the garden.

“I did not expect you.” Said Emma

“Madam…I’m sorry for going here uninvited. I will be very quick.” Said Sulli

“What do you want? Do you want to laugh at me for my failure in TC?” asked Emma

“No…certainly not that…I’m here because of the things I learned from my Unnie’s diary.” Said Sulli

“Madam…you knew Mr. Tony had a heart disease?” said Sulli

Emma had to sit down.

“He had an attack…and was brought to a provincial hospital because he didn’t want his children to know. That’s where he met my Unnie.” Said Sulli

“And he fell in love with her and left our family.” Said Emma

“But you never told your children about their father’s sickness?” asked Sulli

“At first I did not tell them because Tony said I shouldn’t. I just followed his words..” Said Emma

“But Madam…2 months before his death…he begged you to let him see his children because his doctor told him he only had 6 months to live.” Said Sulli

“You said no…” said Sulli

Emma closed her eyes trying to control her emotion.

“What would change if he ever saw his children? Minho and Sohyun hate him. If they saw him, even if he’s dying…they will never turn their eyes on him.” Said Emma

“So you never told them? You never gave them a chance to see each other…” Sulli felt like Minho and Sohyun were robbed of a chance to see and be with their father. Especially that Mr. Tony died earlier than the doctor expected.

There was a long moment of silence.

“I was afraid that they may forgive him because he was dying.” Said Emma “And if they forgive Tony…I will be left alone…feeling the grief and pain…Tony loves his children…and that woman…no love was left for me…and I loved him…so much…I still do…despite everything.” Said Emma tears flowing from her eyes.

“I regretted that I did not give him that chance…I thought I still had time to think about it…and then he died.” Said Emma

“Are you going to tell this to Minho and Sohyun? I guess you will not keep it because this is your chance to finally get back at me.” Said Emma

“No…I don’t think it will ever satisfy me to see Minho suffer more than he already is. When he suffers, I feel it too…so I won’t…but I know you don’t trust my words. So I won’t convince you that I’ll keep it to myself.” Said Sulli

“I came here only to give you this.” Sulli opened her bag and gave letter to Emma.

“I guess when Mr. Tony found out that he was dying…he began to prepare for his death...But it seems it’s an unfinished preparation…because I did  not see any other letter except for that one…His letter for you, Madam.” Said Sulli

Sulli took a bow and left.

Emma is frozen while holding the letter in her hand…

“Oh Tony…why did you have to fall in love with someone else…and why did you have to die so soon…” Emma started mourning again for the only man she had ever loved…

Krystal knows she can’t hide forever…she has to face the world…and Minho..she needs to talk to him and warn him about Bae Yong Joon. Her concern for Minho going above her anger. Krystal’s blouse tore as she was going down the stairs.

“Oh no…I can’t wear this…and I have everything in the laundry!”

Krystal went inside Jessica’s room to borrow a shirt from her closet. Jess usually doesn’t mind her borrowing. She opened Jess’ closet. And looked for a shirt that would fit her skirt. When she found one, she pulled it, but an envelope got pulled out with it. Krystal opened the envelope. What is inside made her drop everything she was holding.

It’s papers with death threats…pictures of Mr. Tony and Choi Ji Woo’s accident…

“What is are these…why is Unnie…why does she have all these?” Krystal felt dizzy…everything is clouding in her head…

Why does Jess have letters address to Minho’s Dad threatening to kill him?

“Does Unnie have something to do with their death?” Krystal shook her head “No…this can’t be…Unnie is not a murderer…” But the death threats tell her otherwise… some unfinished papers tell her that Jess was planning to send a lot more.

Oh no…what will she do now?

“Unnie…why did you do this?” Krystal can only blame one person...Bae Yong Joon

Minho saw Krystal in the café. It’s the first time he has seen her since the TC anniversary. She has lost weight.

“Hi.” Said Minho

Krystal nodded at Minho.

“I’m happy that you’ve finally called me…I was trying to get in touch with you...But I guess the time wasn’t right yet.” Said Minho “I want to apologize…for everything.” Said Minho

“Do you think an apology is enough? We were on the papers for weeks…some papers still have us…and I am perceived to be the pitiful ex girlfriend.” Said Krystal “But they’re right…I was the pitiful ex girlfriend…”

“I know sorry is not enough…I want to say I’ll make it up to you but I never will be able to…I’m sorry for hurting your feelings…I’m sorry for not being honest.” Said Minho

“I am still angry with you, Oppa…and I still can’t accept that you chose than woman over me.” Said Krystal. “But…I just can’t see your family fall like this…”
