Chapter 11

CABINET

Minho brought Krystal to her house and then went straight back home. When his car was about to enter the gate, he noticed Sulli walking out the house. Minho looked at his watch…it’s 10PM. Where  is she going at this time?

Sulli brought the key…what else does she need…she also brought some bags…that should suffice for now.

Minho followed Sulli while driving his car. He pressed the car horn to get Sulli’s attention.

Sulli is surprised to see Minho.

“Hey…where are you going?” asked Minho “Don’t you know what time it is already?”

“I just need to go somewhere.” Said Sulli

“You’re not going to meet a customer are you?” asked Minho

Sulli took a deep breath “No. I said I already stopped that job, right?” Sulli is irritated

“Just go home Mr. Minho.” Said Sulli as she tried to speed up her walk.

“Where are you going? It’s not good for a woman to walk alone in the streets at this time.” Said Minho “You live in my house and I will be the first in question if something happens to you.”

“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to me.” Said Sulli

Stubborn woman!

“Get in the car.” Said Minho

“Huh?” Sulli is confused

“I said get in the car. Wherever you plan on going, I will take you there.” Said Minho

No…Minho can’t go there with her…

“No thank you, but I can manage.” Said Sulli

That really got Minho irritated.

“If you don’t ride the car, I’ll make sure to put a lock on the gate so that you won’t be able to return to Kevin tomorrow morning.” Said Minho

That made Sulli’s mouth drop at the lame threat from Minho.

“Seriously?” asked Sulli

“Just get in the car.” Said Minho frustrated.

Sulli went in the car and instructed Minho which way to go. They stopped in front of a familiar house.

“I think I’ve been here before.” Said Minho

“Yeah…you have…It’s…Unnie’s house.” Said Sulli “By that door” Sulli pointed the front door

“That’s where we first met…5 years ago.” Said Sulli

Minho tried to remember…Yeah…that’s right…5 years ago…

“It was raining…My Mom went to confront Dad for the first time…Yeah…how can I forget that day.” Said Minho

Sulli just nodded. She didn’t want Minho to be here. The house will bring him painful memories.

“I’ll just go inside. I’m planning to have it leased or sold…so I’ll just look around for any important papers that can be useful for Kevin.” Said Sulli

Minho did not react. He just kept looking at the house door.

Sulli alighted the car and went inside.

Sulli went to Ji Woo’s room. She knows where Ji Woo normally puts the important things and so she first looked at a secret drawer within the cabinet. She took all that’s inside into her big bag. She wants to be sure though that’s why she kept on searching the room. Sulli noticed the painting on the wall crooked. And then she noticed that the wall behind the painting has a different color than the rest of the room. She took the painting off the wall and saw that it’s a hidden cabinet. Wow…very James Bond of her sister.

Sulli opened the cabinet and saw weird things. There are 5 notebooks. There were a few envelopes.

Sulli is taking a long time inside the house. And it’s making Minho agitated. He went out of the car. He doesn’t like the feeling of being around this house…But it’s 1AM and He needs to pull Sulli home. She still has to bring Kevin to school tomorrow morning.

Minho went to the door. Memories of his first meeting with Sulli flashing back.

“I’ll make sure he doesn’t grow up like you.” said Sulli in anger

The memory made Minho chuckle. Before or now…Sulli seems to have not changed. Minho opened the door taking a deep breath before he entered the house.

It looks…cozy…

There were pictures on the table by the sofa. He could see His Dad with Ji Woo and in some photos even with Sulli and the younger Kevin. His Dad looks to be really happy making Minho’s chest ache. Did they ever get to take a photo like this?

In the last photo it seems his Dad grew really thin and looked older than his age.

“I guess it was not all fun then.” Said Minho

Minho walked the stairs going up and found one of the doors open. He went inside to see Sulli sitting on the floor.

“Hey.” Said Minho

“Hey.” Answered Sulli

“What have you found?” ask
