Before I Go
Description
I always remember the first time I saw you. Your eyes creased into crescent shapes like the moon as it smiles fondly down on the earth. The radiant glow of your happiness took my breath away. When the nurse handed your tiny, delicate form to me and I held you in my arms, I knew there was nothing quite so perfect in my world as you. I remember how you held my finger so tight with your whole hand. Something deep inside me swayed, a powerful bond latching my swelling heart with yours. I remember how tears welled and my heart clenched in awe as we looked into each other's eyes. In that moment, I saw my universe twinkle in your soft brown orbs. I knew, then, that I'd do anything for my baby boy, and I cradled you close. I whispered your name in your ear, and you smiled.
Hello, Luhan. I'm so glad to finally have you in my life. Daddy loves you.
Foreword
This is inspired by the love of parents everywhere. Even though I am not one myself, I love my parents to pieces and appreciate everything they've done for me even if not quite at the time they did it.
It's not long; just a slice of life.
