Ellison Kim
He has a Korean name, Kim Kyoung Jae. However, he is often called Eli (re: Illai). He was a member of the famous Korean boy group called U-KISS. After several years of pursuing a career as an entertainer, he decided to open a restaurant because of his contract is up and he did not want to continue the contract again. With his own name and the amount of support from the people who love him, his business is going very well.
Effie Lee
Effie is her stage name, while her birth name is Lee Ji Hoon. She is also an entertainer. She is a member of the girl group in Korea called C-REAL. In contrast to Eli, Effie is still join the group. Although it’s not as famous as Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls and other girl group, their schedules are quite dense.
Foreword
"You asked me to come here to listen about your arranged marriage plan of me with your friend’s daughter?!" exclaimed Eli, half shout. "You're kidding right, Mom? Tell me this is not true!"
"Of course this is true, dear. I was not kidding with you. Did my face look like that?" replied Mrs. Kim calmly, looking at his son's face intently.
"Mom..." called Eli with a voice that sounded frustrating. "You don’t need to do that. I can find my bride alone."
"But when, dear? When? I want to have a grandchild, you know!"
"Can’t you wait any longer? I still don’t want to get married, Mom. Anyway, I'm not too old!"
"Pretty soon you're thirty."
"Three years more!"
"Should I have to wait for three years more? That means I have to wait much longer to get a grandchild, right? How could you do that to me, dear?"
"Mom... I can’t..." Eli could not continue his words after seeing his mother's face that looked sad at that time. He wanted to yell to refuse her plan, but he did not have the heart to do that. "Mom... come on, I still want to focus on my work right now. I don’t want to mess around with other problems besides that. I still want to enjoy it, Mom."
Mrs. Kim paused, staring at Eli. Then, she turned around, her back to Eli. "Do you refuse it?"
Eli did not directly answer. He knew his mother was angry. Finally, Eli nodded confidently. "Yes, I refuse it, Mom. I'm sorry..."
"It’s fine..." she said, then walked away, leaving Eli. "From now on you're not my son anymore!" suddenly Mrs. Kim cried pretty hard and steady.
Eli’s eyes rounded, shocked by his mother’s words. "Moooommm..."
