Two MoonsOne and a half hours before:
Kai put his chin on Siyeon's shoulder, a hint of a smile on his face. Her breath was steady and her brows slightly knitted, so as if she thought about something in her sleep. "You don't need to hug her necessarily," Sehun casually mentioned while he glanced over to Kyungsoo, who was partly awake, partly in his core world. He could hear what Kai and Sehun talked about, not conscious but his brain would process everything. "It's easier to control if her body works properly if I keep contact to her and besides... I like hugging women, you know that."
There was nothing Sehun could say to that and he averted his eyes from Kai. "She got really thin though," Kai whispered as he looked at Siyeon's legs and arms. He remembered that she wasn't as thin she was now as he had met her for the first time, or rather as they had talked for the first time in math class. "The school is putting a lot of pressure on her... and the bullying. No wonder she lost weight." It surprised Sehun that Kai had noticed something trivial as weight loss on Siyeon but then again there were a lot of things Kai noticed and didn't speak out loud. "I wonder... Why do they do something like that if they know that they are going to be punished anyways? Using out abilities like that on one of our own kind."
There were many possible answers and Sehun had thought about it as well but he had decided that it was the most obvious one. “They think that they can play and bully her because they think that they don't get punished, because to them Siyeon is no Mageíya.” Kai agreed with that though and let out a sigh. “What fools,” he muttered and shook his head. It was only allowed to use magic against another Mageíya in an official fight or during war, but everyone knew that nearly no one kept those rules, especially the higher ranked families.
“How does she do that? Other people already would have broken under all that pressure...” Other people except for Kai and the others. They had been trained and educated to not break under any kind of situation, but Siyeon... Siyeon was a completely different case. “She does not fear the students here, neither you or me or someone else and not even the teachers. Maybe it is because her ignorance of this world after all,” Sehun said, whereupon Kai chuckled. “Those words are so you, Sehun. She doesn't know who you are, nor who our families are. Maybe you are right, maybe it is her ignorance, but I think it maybe is because of something else as well.”
He shrugged because there wasn't anything more Kai could say. “Don't look so sour, that's so unlike you,” Kai teased Sehun after he had watched his friend's for a while. “I don't look sour. Your imagination must be playing games on you.” As indifferent Sehun sounded, he had to admit that Kai was probably right somewhere. It disturbed him to see Kai being so comfortable with Siyeon, because he usually was not like that, even though he flirted a lot with girls.
“What do you think are those two doing?” Strangely enough that Kai felt so comfortable with her, now he also sounded very thoughtful, which didn't happen often. “He's not tearing her apart though. Remember what happened to the last person who had tried to break into Kyungsoo's cor
