Two MoonsAs Siyeon startled out of her sleep, she nearly slapped Pýr. He was close to curse at her in his usual manner but he didn't. A frown appeared on his face as he saw her expression. She looked even paler, her eyes hollow in the socks, wide and filled with shock and fear.
“The piano melody. It returned... but this time it sounded so disharmonious. So, as if someone was playing on a piano that is slowly burning away.”
She suddenly keeled over, holding her head, so as if she suddenly remembered something under severe pain, and Pýr could feel it too, the pain which slowly crept up inside his head. It was only an echo of her pain, less strong and Pýr asked himself how she could stand so much pain. Not that he couldn't. He was a trained soldier, trained to withstand pain and torture.
The pain suddenly got stronger and bizarre pictures appeared in Pýr's head as well. Bizarre faces made out of fire. Some begged for mercy, some begged for something else. They begged not to kill Siyeon, and then there were faces who threatened her.
They all came at once, tormented Siyeon and threatened to eat her alive, paired with that disharmonious piano melody, which usually wouldn't sound like that at all.
Instinctively, Pýr grabbed her, pulled her into his arms and covered her eyes with his one hand, while his other one wrapped around her waist.
He had taken over Rui's shift to watch over her since he needed rest as well. During the explosion, Rui had been the one who had been hit the hardest since Pýr's main element was fire and that had given him a little protection at least. It hadn't been much, he had been at the verge of death but he could guess that Rui had been even closer.
Pýr was tired as well but he was more and better trained that Rui at staying awake for a long time. “Calm down. I'm here. Everything is alright,” he assured her with an unusual calm voice.
The tremble didn't lessen, not even after he spoke to her again and again. With a calm mind, he checked his surroundings. He didn't want anyone to come into the room because he was about to do something he usually wouldn't do. He had to admit, it was embarrassing but he was strangely excited about it, though first and foremost he wanted to protect her.
A sigh came over his lips. He still didn't feel all too well about this whole protection thing and everything but something told him that he didn't have a choice at all.
“Siyeon, can you hear me?” he whispered close to her ear His warm breath hit her skin and made her shudder. “Everything is going to be alright
