Wolf killings are not a rarity at Yangdong Village; it being situated so close to the woods and by the river. Haru has grown up losing people she knew, from these fierce creatures, but she never really gave it much thought... It was normal; one of those things that only ever happened to other people... Until her older sister died, right in front of her eyes. Then, it became abnormal. Why had it happened? Why to her sister? Haru's world collapsed... She was just, lost. Everything was a blank to her. 

Then, she met Hong Ki.

Characters

Jang Haru (Main OC) - Coming from one of the richest families in Yangdong Village, Haru and her older sister, Haneul, have been educated from their youth, unlike some of their poorer neighbours. Their father is one of the highest members of council in the village, being the best scholar, while their mother is famous for her intricate embroidery skills. Haru is a gifted painter/artist and tends to get lost in her own little world while painting. She sees her older sister in a light that she would never see herself in, believing her older sister is just too good and perfect.

Appearance wise, Haru has long black hair, and just like other young girls her age, has it tied at the back in a single braid. Her skin is rather pale because of the cold and her cheeks are almost always red, just like the red cloak her mother made for her. 

 

Lee Hong Ki - He is the strange werewolf friend Haru confides in. Everything about him is a mystery to Haru but it is undeniable that the two are connected by fate.

His odd light brown hair in human form is the same shade of brown in his wolf form. As a werewolf, he is forced to change his form as a human to a wolf on the night of the full moon and remain in that form for a full month until the day of the full moon. He is only able to retain his human form for a short 12 hours, contrary to most werewolf beliefs and folklores.

He seems to know something about Haru that even she, herself, doesn't know... Or, just can't remember.

 

Jang Haneul - She is the older sister of Haru. She is elegant and graceful, inherited from her mother, which is probably the reason why she is looked up upon by Haru. Haneul is wise beyond her years, being blessed with her father's clear, level-headed and calm personality. She is quiet and thoughtful. Whilst her sister was gifted in the art of painting, Haneul was gifted in literature, like her father.
